We just love it here!

We often come here as the site is perfectly placed for so many places. The staff are excellent! Always helpful, never anything too much trouble. The site is clean & very well looked after.  If we had more time we would be here many times a year. A site to return to!

Great site.

We regularly visit Hunters Moon because everything about it is so good. Perfectly situated in a beautiful part of the country with easy access to a variety of different places, towns, harbours, beaches and scenic beauty. The site is always immaculate and the wardens are friendly, helpful and really hard working. The site is a credit to the Caravan Club and a pleasure to visit and revisit.

Hunters Moon

Lovely clean and quiet site. Friendly and helpful wardens. Plenty to see and do in the area. Our favourites were Brownsea Island to see Red Squirrels and RSPB Arne,  where we saw Spoonbills, Avocets, Dartford Warbler and Sika deer. All in beautiful surroundings.

Could Easily have stayed longer!

A wonderful site for location, cleanliness and facilities. There is VERY little to fault here - lorries working on a site down the main road could be heard, but certainly didn't spoil things. We wished we had had the time to stay much longer!

Excellent Site for visiting Dorset

My wife & I visited Hunters Moon Site, Wareham between 20th - 27th Sept 2015. This is truly an excellent site in every way. The site is superbly maintained by the Wardens (we used the lower toilet block and found the facilities in very good order and the cleaning by our wardens done to an exemplary standard). It is in an ideal location for visiting Dorset which is a beautiful county.

Peaceful spot in wonderful surroundings.

Just returned from a second visit to Hunters Moon. Everything in great order as we expect on Club sites. Two niggles. The Internet connection was intermittent and very slow on two of the days and the shower cubicle curtains were set too high allowing the splash to soak most of the floor in the 'dry' area. This is such a simple thing and some other sites have got it right. Those points aside it really is a lovely place. For those who like walking, natural history, fabulous coastlines and characterful villages with great pubs you couldn't go anywhere better. Try the Bankes Arms at Studland for a good meal after a coastal walk. Get the O.S. Map for the area and you will see it is bursting with 'reserves' of all kinds. RSPB, Dorset Wildlife Trust, N.T; you just keep finding them. Wareham is an interesting place for a visit and local shopping whilst Dorchester and Poole offer the facilities of larger places if you want it. Weymouth and Bournemouth are easy distance if you want a resort. If you haven't visited this area you should put that right very soon. This site is open all year.

A Pristine gem

Just returned from Hunters Moon after a break of 3 years. Despite site being full, it is immaculate with good size pitches and excellent facilities. The Wardens work continually to ensure everything is clean and tidy.  Location is wonderful for exploring the Isle of Purbeck Have knocked a mark off for families because of the action of others. Why oh Why cannot people drive at 5mph. There is absolutely no need to change out of first gear - Automatics too.

Restful weekend

This is our first stay in the area. The site is lovely, clean and well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. However I don't think it would suit us during the school holidays and busy periods as each site seems quite close to the next, but perfect otherwise.  The Silent Woman pub down the road is very friendly and the food is good. Sadly the road to the pub is a very fast narrow road and although the pub is within walking distance the road makes it too dangerous to walk to as there is no path. Wareham, Studland Bay and the surrounding areas are beautiful and well worth a visit.

A sunny weekend just 'up the road'

Hunters Moon is only about 5 or 6 miles from us but it is a easy drive for a couple of days away. When we arrived the site was full. In fact the person ahead of us who hadn't book was turned away. Fearful of getting the pitch nobody wanted imagine our surprise when we had a pitch one down from opposite the facilities - just what we would have chosen. Nice and quiet over the weekend we had a sunny start Friday but cloud most of Saturday when we went to Swanage. Visited the play park on site Friday. Easy departure on the Sunday. We will be back.

Another visit to Dorset

We've been regular visitors to Dorset and in particular around Corfe (we normally stay at Haycraft) but friends of ours were staying here and thus we re-visited after a year or two's break. The site was in very good order overall, the loo blocks spotless, the wardens as good as we all expect them to be, the grass well trimmed and the general ambience in beautiful Autumn sunshine was lovely. Dog walk is fairly convenient and links into a lot of footpaths through the forested area. We didn't visit the Silent Woman pub, though we have done so before and it was dog-friendly then. We thought it odd that there were now 8 or 9 fully-serviced pitches, new since our last visit - but placed right next to the entrance and the main road, which can be a little noisy with some terrifyingly fast traffic on occasion. This whole area is worth a visit anyway - Corfe Castle, Wareham town, Wimborne (an especial favourite), Studland Bay (Shell Beach was clearly designed for family beach holidays!), Warbarrow Bay and the lost village of Tyneham - all make for a lovely short break. If you've not been before, it's definitely worth a visit.
