Lovely site

We have been caravanning for about 10 years and stayed at various sites around UK. We had a seasonal pitch from September until November 2016 at Cragg Vale and were very happy with it. The site, the pitches, the surrounding coumtyside perfect. The Wardens were really nice, helpful and friendly. The canal walk from Mytholmroyd to Hebden Bridge was lovely. Hebden bridge itself is a lovely place to wonder around with very friendly people. Lots of shops, cafes with plenty of parking. Will be back.

Small and peaceful site

By usual club standards this is a small site , this is part of the attraction of the site.It has no toilet block and in my view this is another ingredient for a more pleasant site. Wardens really welcoming and flexible (thanks). We visited Bradford Photography museum (40mins) on Sat and went for a browse and coffee in Hebden Bridge (10 min drive but easily walkable) on Sunday, both enjoyable visits. We visit this site most years and the site doesn't disappoint and usually good value. Not much for children in immediate proximity of the site but Hardcastle craggs are near and make for a good walk in the woods with river.

Peaceful and well run site

Really great short stay here whilst visiting Hebden Bridge. We had a hardstanding pitch backing on to the river which was the only noise you could hear even though the site was full.  Will definitely return to this great place with a warm and helpful reception guaranteed.

Great stay

I was in Hebden Bridge for a 3 day course we had to find our own accommodation. ; had a look for Caravan and Camping sites and came up with the Caravan Club site although address is Hebden Bridge it is about two miles out at Crag Vale just outside Mythonroyd. Site was easy to find and perfect for my needs, only drawback was no toilet block and showers. With a new to me van meant that as not got the van shower working as yet l had to rough it a little but not really a problem as such. l was on my own but Steve and Dee were very helpful in helping me site my van. There is a small shop on site that sell some essentials. There is a Co-op and Sainsbury's in Mythonroyd post office garage. Ideal place to explore Yorkshire Moors Haworth Bronte Country is not far away also where railway children filmed. Not forgetting Hebden Bridge of course. Cragg Valeis also the longest continuing incline in the UK at 51/2 miles.

First visit

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week but sorry to see that many of the plants and shrubs were being removed from the entrance driveway. Why ? It was not an area where caravans could be pitched and it must have looked lovely when in full bloom. I think it has destroyed what would have been an attractive welcome to the site. The entrance road needs maintenance as the potholes just off the main road are very bad. We will I am sure be visiting again in the future. Wardens very friendly and welcoming, but are unfortunately being moved for next year. Lucky for the Hawes site which will be their new position.

Hidden Gem

Really enjoyed staying at this site, had a really lovely pitch. The surrounding area and views are really lovely and that is what makes visiting all the more worthwhile. will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.

Perfect little spot.

This was my first site and took my newly acquired motorhome and my 23 year old daughter for a couple of nights. I was a complete novice but that didn't matter as both wardens were so welcoming and helpful - offering advice when needed.  Nothing was too much trouble.  The bus stop is right outside which took us both into Hebden Bridge - really great if you want to leave the van pitched up.  The four tick just reflects lack of shower/toilet block.  Cleanliness of the sight was pristine.  Wouldn't hesitate to book again if I'm going that way.

Amazing site

Stayed at this site, as close to where our friends live, and came up to see them. What a gem of a site. Despite the closeness of the road, which is a bus route, the site is essentially quiet. The site as a whole is nicely laid out. The wardens were lovely, as were the relief wardens, who were there when we first arrived. The site is very convenient, for those that don't wish to take their car/motorhome off site everytime they go out, as there is a bus stop right outside the gate, with buses running every hr. Its a nice walk into Hebden Bridge, via the canal, or if you like walking, there's plenty of walking directly from the site, or Hardcastle Crags, is a great place to walk, and only a short drive away. All in all, I'd highly recommend this site, and we hope to get back "up North" at some point in the future.

Fantastic wardens

We arrived at the site after booking several months in advance to face the realisation that I hadn't actually confirmed the booking. The wardens were amazing. They went out of their way to accomodate us even on such a busy weekend. The site is immaculate. The area has so much to offer, especially if you are a keen walker. There are several pubs/restaurants in walking distance. The nearby market town of Hebden Bridge is a must with its independent shops and eateries. Highly recommended!
