Our first time here - and we'll be back!

We booked this site for a quiet 4 night break. It delivered. The lack of toilet/shower facilities and play park do deter families with children which during school holidays for peace-seekers is a blessing. The fees for the site are kept lower as a result of the lack of a shower/toilet block - and it is no hardship to us to use our on-board facilities. The postal address may be Hebden Bridge but the location isn't. It's in Mytholmroyd which is just along the road from Hebden Bridge. Mytholmroyd is a small town which offers 2 supermarkets, petrol stations etc. The location of the site gives you the opportunity of walking along the canal to Hebden Bridge which is a lovely walk in the dry weather. The site is well maintained and it's size makes it feel quite cosy. The wardens, John and Saara are amazing. They're so friendly, helpful and welcoming - it makes the check in on arrival seem like a welcome from friends. They are so aware that you're there to have a relaxing time - and they do what they can to help you. They are an asset to the CC. The weather while we were on site was dire; it rained very heavily all through the night of quite a lot of the days. The site appeared to be well drained generally. We'll be back here I'm sure!

Loved our short stay

We stayed recently for a long weekend so we could visit our son who lives in Manchester and works in Hebden Bridge. At last we have found a lovely site that has an easy commute into Manchester Victoria with Mytholmroyd Station a walkable distance or reachable by getting a bus from outside the site. We also really hope that the site is not over developed and that a toilet/shower block is not added. One of the nicest sites we have visited and a lovely, friendly couple running it.

Please don't change a thing!

We stayed over last week and have only praise for this site. It is small and offers everything you need for a lovely holiday. Hebden bridge is delightful and a short walk along the canal into the town centre. I really hope that the site is not over developed. At the moment it offers great facilities for a great price. Shower blocks etc just add to the price. One of the nicest sites we have visited I wish the club provided more locations like this. Enjoy your stay.

Lovely site

Stayed at Hebden bridge for four nights just recently and can honestly say it is a nice clean site with plenty of walking in the area. The wardens appoachable and keep the site looking clean and tidy. If there is a down side you have slight noize from traffic on the main road, but won't put us off from going again. The site is being upgraded latter in the year with the office moving and service pitches added. PLEASE caravan club don't put wifi on and don't add a toilet block.

Good for walkers

Nice quiet friendly site. Note well there is no toilet block. Access to Hebden Bridge town on the bus is good and a really nice pub, Robin Hood, is walkable from the site. Robin Hood do meals but only Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Couple of good walks straight off the site.

Quiet site

Stayed here this weekend. Didn't realise there was no toilet block or shower till we was on our way there. This is the only down side of this site. This is definitely not for family's as no play area. There is room for showers and toilets which I think should be added to this site as we would return in that case. Very quiet and well kept.

No route given in Handbook from M62

With help and advice, from members in club together we left the M62 @J24, then took the A road route around Halifax. Very steep hill soon after leaving Motorway, it seemed steeper going back up it! Site very clean and tidy. Nearest pub 20 minutes walk up the hill. Hebden Bridge was a one hour walk along the Rochdale canel. (10 minutes in car). Limited car parking in Hebden Bridge (60p an hour) , but plenty of eating places . Bus stop near site entrance. The site is on the longest hill in England, and is part of the Tour of Yorkshire cycle race , and is a popular Road for cyclists. We managed without a toilet block, which would have been nice, but then the site fee would increase no doubt.
