Lovely Small Site

What a lovely little site. Obviously no facilities but I think the introduction of the service pitches is very welcome and quite economical compared to full facility sites. The new motorhome service point is excellent as well. As motorhomers we like to leave that on site and explore by public transport. There is and almost hourly bus service from outside the site entrance going to Hebden Bridge in one direction and Huddersfield in the other. You can take the bus, or walk down to Mytholmroyd where there are even more frequent bus services to Hebden Bridge and beyond and Halifax the other way. Hebden Bridge is a delight and there are numerous places for coffee/tea or pubs if you prefer. The cafe in the Town Hall is worth consideration. One day we took the Bronte Bus to Haworth. Not only was the trip over the moors spectacular but the place also interesting. If you get that far the you must visit Haworth Parsonage, which is now a museum. You can see the room and the table where the Bronte sisters wrote their books. So plenty to do from the site. There is no WiFi currently but the warden mentioned they are soon to have a WiFi hotspot which will be welcome. Having said that I found the 4G signal reasonable. Perhaps worth mentioning that there are ongoing road works in Mytholmroyd which are causing delays. Arriving at the site from the B6138 via the A58 from junction 21 on the M62 is a perfectly good route.

Self sufficient weekend

I told the wife last December about booking Hebden Bridge, " Lovely" she said. I said there's no toilets or shower block, " You are joking " was the reply. Last weekend we was there, did it spoil our weekend, did it heck. Fantastic weekend, lovely site, lady wardens very friendly and helpful. Hebden Bridge only a short drive away or if you can walk in even better. Nice canal walks, market and shops, park and pubs. While we were there we enjoyed mixing with the steampunk convention. It was that good we've booked again, only this time on a service pitch.Top marks.

Fantastic Site

We use this site to visit family. The improvements this year are super with 6 fully serviced pitches. Great location for walking and Hebden Bridge is stunning. New wardens were very helpful and obliging in allowing us a later check out so we could visit family on the Sunday. Very quiet site. Lookng forward to our next visit.

Improved site

Been to Hebden Bridge site many times , has just reopened after improvements have been made. The site now enjoys 6 service pitches , new drive over motorhome facility and new layout that makes the site much more open it is indeed a great improvement well done to the club. The other change is it is now managed by two lovely lady wardens who are very helpful and very nice, an asset to the club they are. Hebden Bridge is a very interesting town very quirky with very nice reasturants and pubs it is a short drive or bus ride away and it is also walkable too The two pubs in easy walking distance both have their own charm we prefer the Shouder of Mutton which is down the hill. This site is one of the non toilet block variety which again suits us but not everyone, try it you will be surprised.

Fab site spoiled only by ignorant people walking across my pitch

This is a lovely little site in the heart of beautiful countryside with lots of walks nearby. Ask for the walking leaflets that are available to buy in the site office. I highly recommend a walk along the River Calder to Hebden Bridge then back along the Rochdale Canal. Everything you need by way of shops and takeaways is available in Mytholmroyd or Hebden Bridge. However, I advise against choosing Pitch 34 as numerous ignorant fellow caravanner seem to think it's ok to use it as a shortcut if you don't have a car on one side of the caravan and an awning on the other. I will definitely be back but I'll choose a different pitch.

Lovely, picturesque and quiet site, very good location too.

This is very pretty site with easy access. Not too many pitches and well spaced. Absolutely ideal for us - very peaceful and within easy access of Hebden Bridge which is really pretty, if a little crowded at times. Excellent venue for walkers and cyclists. The managers were the most friendly and pleasant people -the best couple we have come across running the various sites. We were very pleased with everything.

A Large CL site

Please note this site is basically a large CL site with no toilet block , so the price reflects this, Is peaceful and ok if you are fit and healthy but no dog walk on site which is a pain late at night to have to walk down a main road

Lovely Site

As we live close by, we stayed for a night just to check the van over before touring in Europe. This is a quiet site although the pitches closer to the river are bothered by less road noise than those at the other side of the site. There is good walking in the area and the Hebden Bridge Picture House is great for a wet evening. Lots of comfy seats with good leg room and a kiosk selling mugs of tea and local Craggs cakes and flapjacks. Also local beers and ice cream. Hebden Bridge has lovely independent shops and cafes as well as pubs and bars catering to all tastes. There is also a great cycle store "Blazing Saddles" if you need help with your steed whilst on holiday.
