After spending Christmas 2013 here we decided to book New Year this year. An easy journey to the site due to little or no ice/ frost/ snow on the roads. First three days were lovely, cold but bright and some sunshine. Things got a little wet after that but it is the Dales so we do expect it. Lovely walks all over the area, an easy walk into Hawes and The Crown Inn in the centre is our favourite. Very friendly, love dogs and a biscuit is always offered when you enter ( for the dog of course). Â Food at The Crown is exceptional and if you are thinking of Christmas dinner book early they were fully booked by July this year. The site and staff were as usual really friendly and helpful. The site immaculate and the wardens never stop working. Another super holiday
New Year 2014 & 2015
We enjoyed our stay last year partying with fellow caravaners in the games room so much that we stayed again over the New Year to party into 2015! Again, this site is wonderful, with good Wardens who put on a great party night, but who also take pride in looking after the Hawes Caravan Site. Its location is great for a short walk into Hawes or a quick car ride to Wensleydale Cheese Farm - well worth a visit which also has an excellent restaurant serving wholesome foods with fair prices. Love this site and yes you guessed it, we have already booked to celebrate 2016!
Back Again
So we returned again to see in the New Year.
Stayed 29th Dec to 3 Jan. As the wardens know too well I love to complain. Unfortunately try as I may I could not find anything. Drat. They all worked so hard to give every one a good party for New Years Eve. What a good do and great credit to them. Thanks Again
Lovely Week In November
A very late review! We stayed at Hawes from 15th November 2014 for a week. We had a service pitch which was in a nice circle away from the other pitches. The toilet block was very clean and the wardens were very friendly and helpful. The dog walk is a field which is fab. The site is a 5 min walk from Hawes which has lots of lovely cafes. It is only a 15 min steady walk to the Wendsleydale Creamery which is well worth a visit for lunch in the resturant and to buy lots of cheese. The rope works is interesting and free, they were very helpful and made a dog lead up to our requirements. All in all a fab holiday with lots of places to explore.

First Class
We had 4 nights here, Boxing Day onwards. The welcome was warm and friendly. All wardens were friendly at all times though. Site spotless apart from where an inconsiderate member decided to drive over soft grass and leave a mess. Some low level lighting wouldn't go amiss on the entrance road up to the Office, the only improvement the site warrants we think. Hawes as lovely as ever, easy walks on tap everywhere. An absolute joy.
Hawes for Christmas
Had a great time over the Christmas period. Site and wardens great. Great walking and good dog friendly pubs in Hawes, could'nt ask for more.
