First site ever Visited!!

We bought our first caravan earlier this year and decided to take our first trip local so we could try it out as a family, we chose this site because it was not far from home. The site was perfectly located off main road, no worries for first time tourers!!. The site was spotlessly clean, covid compliant, very flat, we pitched up, didn't need any leveling, bonus number 2 for first timers! A beautiful location, we could see sheep/lambs everywhere and in the distance a cracking view of Chesterton windmill. Friday night Pizza night, order through Steph earlier in the day Pizza ready within 5 mins of ordering. For a family of four and an energettic collie in tow, to be able to walk around fenced off fields surrounded by bleating sheep was a wonderful addition to our time at Harbury, the dog could run off lead (and he did) without the worry of him getting into the sheep fields. Bonus no 3!! Excellent for dog walkers. (even in the rain) A lovely place to stay and thoroughly enjoyed our first experience, a better site we could not have chosen for our first caravan adventure. Thanks Harbury Fields. We will no doubt be returning.

A lovely site in a beautiful rural area

This was our first visit to Harbury Fields and I'm sure it won't be our last. The site is very well maintained and is in a lovely rural location. The facilities blocks were spotlessly clean and compliant with the latest Covid guidelines. We walked around the farm fields, but didn't venture further afield as we were only there for a couple of nights. The only noise we heard at night was the sheep in the field adjacent to our pitch - perfect!

Lovely Site

Lovely quite site with super views and sunshine all day. We stayed for 1 night on route further south. Facilities were clean and always free. Only issue was it stated on the sign for single or family use only, but some people would lock the door and others wouldn't which allowed other people to enter. Would definitely stay here again.

Peace and tranquility

We stayed here for 1 night 8th August 2020, our first outing in the Motorhome since re-opening on the way to Broadway. Good clear information prior to arrival via email. (relating to the site and covid-19). Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. Few pitches available at the time we arrived and we headed for pitch 46. A gem in our opinion. Loads of space and seemed very private. The weather was perfect and drinks and dinner watching the sunset made for perfect afternoon/evening. The farm walk was about 1.2 miles round. Good pathway and well signposted. It was just enough for the dogs as it was warm. It is about a mile into Harbury village which we didn't do this time as the heat was to much for the dogs but have been before and there a couple of decent pubs there and a couple of shops. There were 3 blocks of facilities. In each, there was 2 showers and 2 toilets. They could be used single/couple or family use with an lock on the outer door. This was the only confusing part for me. I wasn't sure if to lock the outer door when having a shower, therefore blocking use of the toilet (for safety reasons) or whether someone else could be in the block at the same time. Some people did lock the outer door, some didn't so it didnt cause any issues, you just might have a brief wait outside if someone did lock the outer door. We were only there for 1 night and managed perfectly fine. After a little walk round the full site on the morning we left, my tip to you all would be use the facilities near pitches 1-9, as this is tucked away in the corner, whereas i would assume most of the site would look to use the other 2 blocks first. (one near reception and 1 more central near pitch 19). To be honest, everytime we walked past all the facilities had no one waiting outside so no worries here. I loved this site, it is our 2nd time and so peaceful. Nice and quiet. Perfect for relaxing. Hoosey

Lovely peaceful place

What a lovely peaceful place. If you have kids this place might not be good to visit unless the kids are happy entertaining themselves. We do not have any kids so it was perfect for us. We really enjoyed staying here. Staff were friendly and informative and all covid rules were clear. Facilities were immaculate and cleaned multiple times a day. Disabled facilities were good as well. We didn't explore off site so cannot comment on surrounding area but we did enjoy the farm walk, very beautiful, shame a few benches or seats can't be placed along the way, I have mobility issues so I know it's not needed for everyone and that's ok. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Site

First time we have been here but will be back again, very friendly staff explained Covid rules for site nothing to much trouble. Nice to have level pitches with tap and drain on every pitch, site is well maintained and clean safe toilet/shower blocks although we never used them ourselves. Very quite site you can hear traffic on the nearby Fosse way but very quite at night, the odd plane or two didn't seem to disturb the birds or wildlife. Some noise from the sheep but you are on a farm so what do you expect. Just one minor problem and that was on arrival the member of staff said they operate a one-way system! which no body apart from us seemed to adhere to, a few arrows/no entry signs might make it easier in busy periods. But as I say it didn't put us off the site and we will return.

Lovely place

We visited here for the first time on the weekend . Firstly if you have kids you might not enjoy this site as not much to do for them. We don't have kids so it was perfect for us. Easy check-in , lovely friendly staff and clear information regarding new covid rules. Site was well maintained, beautiful location, safe and very clean toilets and shower block. Really enjoyed the farmers walk but I love sheep and didn't get to see them shame. We didn't venture off site but hopefully next time as it looks a lovely place!

An excellent site in the heart if Warwickshire

We stayed at Harbury Fields over the August bank holiday, although this cannot be attributed to the caravan site the weather was indeed beautiful with plus 30c days and warms nights. There are three toilet / shower blocks all beautifully clean day and night and obviously cleaned multiple times a day. Waste points are clean and bins plentiful, as we have a caravan we saw the motorhome waste points but could not comment on their efficiency. There are also family bathrooms and a full laundry, however again we never used this however it did look in good condition and clean. The grounds are well maintained with all grass areas mown and hard standing flat and neatly gravelled. There is low level lighting in the dusk hours and most pitches are separated by well maintained trees and shrubs. There is a dog friendly walk around the farmers fields which is fenced and safe for our four legged friends. I believe all the pitches are super pitches with 16a hookup, fresh water and grey waste, this is always a boost for us as we enjoy the freedom of long showers and no hauling water to your van. If you are onsite on Friday evening a wood fired pizza van turns up and serves food for about four hours, approx cost of pizzas was £7 - £9 and well worth it. Mobile phone, data and tv signals we all good. In short if you have the opportunity to visit Harbury Fields do so as it a super treat and well worth the visit.

Well kept site

This was our first time on this site, and we were not disappointed. Access is easy, and the pitches are a good size and level. The toilet and washing facilities were of a high standard, and were kept very clean. However, when the site is full they can get very busy. Public transport to Leamington Spa is available from the bus stop at the end of the drive. Despite the 25 minute wait for the bus it was still worth a visit. The surrounding countryside is lovely, and walking in the area is possible (and very pleasant once off the road), but a good map is advisable. There is a nice cafe situated in the library in the nearby village of Harbury. It is a good place to stop whilst out walking. We decided against cycling because the road past the site carries some fast moving traffic. Unfortunately we could not see any obvious off-road cycling close to the site. A pizza van visits the site early on a Friday evening for a couple of hours. They are freshly prepared and cooked while you wait, and we had a very good meal at a reasonable price. So, all in all it was a very enjoyable visit.
