Brilliant

Excellent what more can I say , staff friendly, helpful, clean facility’s , nice walk into Great Yarmouth, about 25 mins , great bus service, right out side gate , every 15 mins till 11.15 at night , 10 min walk to great beach dog friendly, all the people we met on the site were friendly, little bit of noise from race course when there was a function on but didn’t go on late . Pub 5 min walk . Best site I’ve been to stayed 8 days wasn’t long enough . Will definitely be going back , not something I have ever said when travelling about in Moho . Loved it 😊

Bland and uninspiring

A warm welcome from the wardens and very helpful. We found the pitches close together and the site very uninspiring - not a reflection of other club sites we’ve stayed on. There was very little greenery or trees. The facilities were excellent! If you go for the racing or other event this site is ideal but it wasn’t for us. If we visit Yarmouth again we will choose another site & travel in. If you have dogs you will need to get off the site before you could comfortably allow your dog to toilet - everywhere was in front of/behind someone’s pitch - not ideal. The beach is over a road bridge & (for me) a comfortable 10 min walk. Sand dunes right off the road then leading to a lovely, almost empty beach. Just outside the site is a bus stop - buses every 30 mins while we were there. Overall great facilities as usual, wardens lovely marred (IMO) by a characterless vista. Sorry but I just say it as it is.

Great find

First we would like to thank the Wardens for a fabulous welcome after a long drive from Cumbria, and thank you to the fill in Wardens covering leave. This is the best site for the welcome and helpfulness, wish all club Wardens were like these guys, maybe the club should get these guys to train the rest!!!! A leaf out of their books would go a long way. Some people said the site was not exciting, but what you have to remember is this is a Racecourse, the location is great, if you have a bus pass you are in luck(we are out of luck as we are not old enough). But it is great for cycling into Yarmouth and Caister, great cycling tracks. Usual very clean facilities. There is a chip van on Saturdays/Wednesday, you will have to make your own mind up on this one. Well worth a visit, hope to return one day. Only one comment, which happens a lot now, and totally bugs us, were on pitch 89 next to the bins etc, campers remember do not walk through someones pitch that they have paid for, it's very rude and annoying, would you walk through your neighbours garden at home!! It was unfortunate that we forgot our wind brake and that would stopped the lazy people.

Brilliant site, immaculately clean, first rate wardens

Stayed for five days end of May it was a last minute decision to go and chose the site based on reviews and could not have been more pleased. The site is well positioned for the town and while you can walk to the beach it is not near the main part of Yarmouth more isolated dunes type of area. There are too few sites with the space and tidy facilities offered here and to say the toilet and showers are clean is a massive understatement they are just about clinical!! The wardens are in a class of their own I have never encountered more friendly, welcoming and helpful people anywhere. I had a small problem with my van and even though they were off duty they went way beyond what they could have been expected to do to help me Yarmouth isn’t my favourite place but due to the site I will go back

Always a good stay

As always perfect stay, despite the weather. The best thing about this site is the Wardens. They could not be two more helpful and friendly people. Always a lovely welcome when you arrive and cant do enough to help you during your stay. The second best thing is the beautifully kept shower block. Warm and clean always. The third best thing is the proximity to the beach for our dogs. Always look forward to staying here.

Lovely Site

Turned up hoping for a nights stay. Warden very polite and helpful. Pitched right next to disabled facilities. Probably the cleanest site we have been to Deffinately going to go back.

Great site

We stayed for the first time at the beginning of August and were pleasantly surprised, great facilities, great location and friendly wardens. So much so that we extended our stay from our 4 night original plan to 8 nights. Plenty to do in the local area.

Grand T

Second stop on our tour. Typical racecourse site, but with a brand new facilities block. Very open site could feel very crowded when full, with pitches three deep in places, but it was quiet when we were there. Great friendly wardens. Don’t forget your levelling blocks it’s very undulating.

Another great stay

Stayed at the end of June beginning of July having used the site a few times before. Arrived and thought the grass had all gone 😂 - it had a desert look, even the pots of plants were struggling because of the dry weather! Lovely greeting from relief wardens the usual wardens returned during our stay equally lovely. Fantastically clean facilities as usual. Short walk out of the site to the dunes and beach for dog walking or human playing! alive with skylarks and terns. There's a protected nesting area. Theres a land train and buses run along the prom into Yarmouth in the summer months, a good level walk along the top or on the beach 30 minutes ish. Bus stop opposite the entry gate just into the housing estate. On site shop sells milk and bits. There is a shop on the static caravan park open 8-8 selling a full range including bakery if the site shop doesn't have what you want. We enjoyed a day at the races, half price entry if you buy from the office, £8 in our case an afternoon meet 7 races. I won my entrance fee back. Soon got the hang of the totes, never been on a race course before or placed a bet! Stakes as low as £1 with the right tote. We were joined by our son and his partner for his birthday, they put a small 2 person tent in the awning space. First club visit for either of them both very impressed. We will be back as Yarmouth has much to offer beyond the front. The Time and Tide Museum is a must and the attached tearoom Silver Darlings worth a few visits! Beautiful fresh offerings. We hired a boat from Potter Heigham for fabulous few hours. Plenty to amuse most folk.
