Another great stay love this site... took a walk into Caister for a change pleasantly surprised lovely beach no candy floss nice quiet quirky little place few pubs will go again. Always visit our fav pub in yarmouth The Mariners and had really good meal in The Avenue always good for a 5 min walk 😁🍻🐾🐾
Nice and casual . sea front walk to Town
We stayed two nights on a pitch by the race course railings. Ground is all grass but well used so dont expect a bowling green surface . Pitches are well spaced and so easy for all to line up with room for awnings etc. Toilet block was very well fitted and typical c&MHC standard. Wardens really nice and very welcoming . Found a NISA store at the next door HAVEN HOLIDAY PARK. A really family friendly resort is Great Yarmouth . Walked in . few beers . had a meal and home again . Wide sand dunes all the way until nearing the centre. Enjoyed the Pier most .
Great get away
Campervan
Stayed for 2 nights, wardens very helpful, facilities nice & clean, stayed on pitch 58 great size plenty of room.
10 minute walk to beach, 10 minute walk to local pub, 20-30 minute walk to Yarmouth centre.
Fish & chip van every Wednesday & Friday in our experience don’t bother very poor!
Overall nice site even better if horse racing is on!
Always lovely and didn't disappoint 😁

Nice Stay
Stayed here for a few days recently. Really big wide roads on the approach, across the horse racing track into the site. As usual the wardens were amazing - very helpful and friendly. Washrooms were immaculate during our stay and covid safe. We didn't need to queue very often to used the facilities which was lovely. Some reviewers grumble about the standard of the grass on the pitches. I can see where they are coming from - the classic perfect grass lawn is not here at Great Yarmouth. But, in defence of the CC, this site had a very sandy soil so probably not the best place in the UK to try to grow grass, especially with the camping traffic a popular site like this generates. And in all honesty the free draining soil meant we did not get stuck in the October mud and no puddles in the grass so in our opinion the mainly grassy pitches were a great compromise between practicality and aesthetics. No protection from the wind as the site is very open plan. We found the wind was blowing alot during our visit and there was no getting away from it as there are no bushes or trees to act as a wind break. This meant a few times our sleep was disrupted by wind noise and our motorhome rocking in the wind. Not a disaster but worth considering if you are visiting like us, out of season. If you want to visit Great Yarmouth is is an easy level walk or cycle to the town. We loved the "kiss me quick" atmosphere of the town. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to visit AND they have Ceasars Palace (Las Vegas anyone?) plus Joyland - what more could you ask for!!!
Thank you!
Wanted to sincerely thank the Wardens for making our first experience a good one. They could not have explained everything more and made everything easier if they tried and it is very much appreciated.
Facilities were very clean and we were made to feel most welcome.
Lovely 10 min walk to the very quiet sandy beach was just what we needed - thank you!
Looking forward to revisiting again on raceday.

Nice Site
Visited in September 2020. Originally booked two weeks but changed to one week when we learnt about racing day restriction movement, on this occasion it was three days in one week. Realise this wasn’t down to the Club but Racecourse.
Site wardens are very friendly and helpful. After reading reviews about grass condition we wondered just what we would end up with. Have to say we found the grass a bit patchy in places but please remember this site is close to a beach so will have sand about! We found it perfectly acceptable. It must be hard maintaining grass on a busy site, but we felt the wardens did their best. Toilet and shower blocks felt very safe to use with the restricted number system in place. I feel hand sanitizer at water, waste and chemical toilet stations would be a benefit. Another good stay at Great Yarmouth.

Well travelled
Very disappointed with the ground on this site . It is about time something was done about the grass or lack of it . We booked a grass pitch but finished with a dirty sandy pitch..I. am sure something can be done when you look at the beautifully grass racing track. This review doesn't include the wardens who were very helpful and facilities looked after very well. Also very disappointed with the club for not supplying hand sanitizer at service points. I will not be returning to this site although it is well placed but do not want to pitch on sand Come on CAMC get your act together and sort out the grass.

Close to the beach and the delights of Gt Yarmouth
Our first stay here or any racecourse site. Friendly warm booking in and a decent level pitch found easily even though very busy.
We didn’t use the facilities through personal choice due to COVID-19 but all precautions seemed in place.
We loved the walks on the beach and river but were less impressed with the town but that’s a personal opinion,
Very helpful and friendly
I didn't comment on the families section because I was there on my own.
For me the site was very good - easy to pitch and the facilities were really clean and the current Covid wristband system of up to 6 on the hooks worked well - it was never full when I went in (I stayed in early September 2020) apart from the dishwashing area (as only one sink was in use) but if you avoided the morning there was often no one about. But the showers and loos were well spaced out and there was I thought there was plenty of hand sanitiser (though if I had to be picky the one near the waste disposal was hard to operate)...
The wardens were delightful, hard working and friendly and kindly lent me a water container when I realised I had forgotten mine - even going to the trouble of adding some Milton to it when they gave it to me so I could ensure it was clean.
There was one night (I think Saturday) when there was some noise from I presume the greyhound track - and obviously if you were there on horse racing days it would be lively, but most of the time it was very quiet and peaceful with lovely walks for the dog down to the dunes if you wanted.
It was a good base for touring around and I would definitely go again. I'd love to be there on a Race day just to see what it would be like! I wasn't fussed about the lack of grass/sandiness though I can see what others have said about the unevenness though luckily I found a pitch which I was very happy with...
