An Unexpected Pleasure

We’ve never visited this area before and are so glad we chose this site for a short two night break, on the way home to Wales from our holiday in Norfolk and Suffolk. The site is in a delightfully green area on the edge of a village and a pleasant 20/30 minute walk to the reservoir. Wardens were friendly and welcoming and facilities spotless. Great information hut with obviously lots to see and do in the area which sadly we didn’t have time to explore on this visit. Hopefully next time! Lovely stroll to the village which has a church (with a second hand book shop) and convenience store and lovely community pub. There is also an Indian restaurant with take away too.

Excellent Shakedown Weekend

We have recently bought our caravan and decided on a local site for our first trip. This is a beautiful site, well kept and the facilities are absolutely spotless. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had an issue getting our water pump to work and the site warden couldn’t have been more helpful, getting us working in a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend this site and we will be returning.

Cambridgeshire water or not

Site was full as Bank Holiday, The facilities were adequate, clean however 2 showers were closed off & 3 toilets in the ladies. We found the pitches & layout cramped. We paid £40.40 for a serviced pitch, noticeable how narrow they were. The neighbouring caravan had to park his car on part of the grass finger. Smallest pitch we have been on. I feel the price too high for the site and services available. Site is handy for the reservoir which we enjoyed. For longer stays access to a bus service is unavailable so limiting to visit surrounding area.

The wardens make this site special 5*

Stayed 4th August for 1 week - Loved this site, very peaceful and great dog walks. The nightly visit of the wild horned owl was amazing and made my 14year old's trip (along with nightly telescope star gazing in the field next to the site). The wardens were the nicest, friendliest couple we have met on any site and made our holiday even more enjoyable, so welcoming and chatty....10 out of 10 from us all for this place! 🥰

Tranquil

We booked into Grafham Water as our first trip out in our new camper van. Complete novices, we turned up in the middle of a thunder storm and torrential rain. The wardens could not have been more helpful and reassuring. They even recommended a pitch so we could use the MSP before parking up. The site and facilities were immaculate. The walk across the field opposite the site entrance takes you to the reservoir where you will find great walks, wildlife, water sports, fishing and cycling. The dog walk at the back of the site leads to public footpaths. A great place for walking and relaxing.

Wonderful site, wonderful,wardens!

Just got back from a wonderful week at Grafham Water Club Site. Although a fairly old site I cannot praise it enough. The site itself is so well maintained and clean with some of the best facilities I have seen. If you are looking for a peaceful stay then this is the site for you. Grafham water is within walking distance and offers wonderful walks, cycle hire and water sports if you are so inclined. Have to mention the wardens Julie and Andrew who went beyond wonderful. We were there during the hot spell (41.7 degrees c reached) and they went round all of the pitches checking that people were coping. Thank you both for making our stay better than good. Outstanding wardens:

The wardens, Julie and Andrew, Carl and Dawn were amazing, so friendly, helpful and accessible. They even helped change a tyre on our new electric bikes and lent a lock. Plenty of cycle routes for our new bikes. A really lovely site, very clean and kept tidy daily, even sweeping the shingles daily! Easy access to many local places. Local church worth a visit, flower festival when we were there, some spectacular art. Village shop and pub, not expensive. I would highly recommend this site, we did not want to move on even after 11 nights!

Low branches on approach road

Watch out for low hanging branches on final approach along Church Road. Branches scraped along the roof of our 3 metre high Motorhome when an oncoming car forced us into near side.
