My wife and I needed a little break to recharge our batteries. As Grafham Water is only 25 miles away and had availability, which I think is due to the club changing the booking rules. This rule change is fantastic and allows genuine members to get away.
Julie and Andrew our site wardens for the weekend were outstandingly fantastic, I can’t thank them enough for their friendly hospitality and the effort put in keeping the site and facilities immaculate.
We visited the the local community pub ‘The Grafham Trout’, which is next door to the community shop. They had 2 great draft ales at very reasonable prices. The welcome was warm and we enjoyed ourselves.
Grafham Water is a lovely stroll across the fields and is a beautiful place to visit.
On Sunday there was a wood fired pizza oven van visit the site which was very popular, although we didn’t try it ourselves the reviews were great.
If you’re looking for a very relaxed quiet time and to recharge your batteries, this site is for you.
