Small well maintained peaceful site

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way to Clubfest. The site managers were very welcoming and informative and the facilities were excellent - good size shower cubicles and kept spotlessly clean. Lovely location within walking distance of Grafham Water with an excellent cycle/footpath all round the reservoir. Lots of good pubs I close by and a community shop that we didn’t get the opportunity to visit. A very enjoyable and peaceful stay.

Beautiful Relaxing Weekend

My wife and I needed a little break to recharge our batteries. As Grafham Water is only 25 miles away and had availability, which I think is due to the club changing the booking rules. This rule change is fantastic and allows genuine members to get away. Julie and Andrew our site wardens for the weekend were outstandingly fantastic, I can’t thank them enough for their friendly hospitality and the effort put in keeping the site and facilities immaculate. We visited the the local community pub ‘The Grafham Trout’, which is next door to the community shop. They had 2 great draft ales at very reasonable prices. The welcome was warm and we enjoyed ourselves. Grafham Water is a lovely stroll across the fields and is a beautiful place to visit. On Sunday there was a wood fired pizza oven van visit the site which was very popular, although we didn’t try it ourselves the reviews were great. If you’re looking for a very relaxed quiet time and to recharge your batteries, this site is for you. Thank you Julie and Andrew, we really appreciated everything you do and all the effort you put in.

Super Site with friendly wardens

We stayed here for 2 nights 19th May 2023 to visit Grafham Water lake and surrounding area. The wardens here are so welcoming and friendly. On arrival out pitch was already allocated, a first for us but we were more than happy with our allocated pitch. Access is good, and the site seems well laid out with a small dog walk at the back. Facilities looked ok and clean although we used our own anyway. Easy cycling distance to Grafham Water which is worth a visit and has e-bike hire if you want to use. Quiet at night which was lovely.. Unsure how far it is to pick up shopping etc but this is a site we would return to.

Great site, peaceful location, near to village and reservior

We stayed for a couple of nights with our son to take a trip across to kimbolton for the fireworks display. Was really close to the end of season so the site was pretty much empty. The site team could not have been more welcoming or helpful in getting us settled on our pitch and informing us of another local display in the village which was a fantastic bonus. We ended up seeing 2 displays across both our nights which was just perfect. Facilities were spotless, bright and well maintained. The only small negative was the pitch size being only just wide enough for our car, standard van and small warning but certainly didn't spoil our stay. We will be back in the warmer weather and intend to bring our bikes to enjoy the cycling round Grafham Water!!!

Lovey little site

First visit to this site and we really enjoyed it. Really friendly wardens, very clean and tidy facilities. Easy access to local walls and to the village. Didn’t get to visit the Trout, but the community store was a great shop with some nice goodies! Will definitely return.

Smashing site but needs to improve shower facilities

Nice quiet site, lovely team running it and good walks nearby only let down by a couple of things. The showers are not suitable for anyone near 6 foot tall as the shower heads are only just higher than that and are very close to the wall which means you have to bend and press your body up against the wall to get under the spray, also the cubicles do not have shower curtains or dividers between the shower and the changing area which means that the floor in the changing area is soaked making it difficult to get dressed after a shower. One small point, the sign says the pizza van will be there from 5 - 6:30 , when we stayed there, we returned from a walk at 6pm and the van had jut left so we had to order via just eat. If they say they are going to be there until 6:30, they need to be there till 6:30.

An Unexpected Pleasure

We’ve never visited this area before and are so glad we chose this site for a short two night break, on the way home to Wales from our holiday in Norfolk and Suffolk. The site is in a delightfully green area on the edge of a village and a pleasant 20/30 minute walk to the reservoir. Wardens were friendly and welcoming and facilities spotless. Great information hut with obviously lots to see and do in the area which sadly we didn’t have time to explore on this visit. Hopefully next time! Lovely stroll to the village which has a church (with a second hand book shop) and convenience store and lovely community pub. There is also an Indian restaurant with take away too.

Excellent Shakedown Weekend

We have recently bought our caravan and decided on a local site for our first trip. This is a beautiful site, well kept and the facilities are absolutely spotless. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had an issue getting our water pump to work and the site warden couldn’t have been more helpful, getting us working in a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend this site and we will be returning.

Cambridgeshire water or not

Site was full as Bank Holiday, The facilities were adequate, clean however 2 showers were closed off & 3 toilets in the ladies. We found the pitches & layout cramped. We paid £40.40 for a serviced pitch, noticeable how narrow they were. The neighbouring caravan had to park his car on part of the grass finger. Smallest pitch we have been on. I feel the price too high for the site and services available. Site is handy for the reservoir which we enjoyed. For longer stays access to a bus service is unavailable so limiting to visit surrounding area.

The wardens make this site special 5*

Stayed 4th August for 1 week - Loved this site, very peaceful and great dog walks. The nightly visit of the wild horned owl was amazing and made my 14year old's trip (along with nightly telescope star gazing in the field next to the site). The wardens were the nicest, friendliest couple we have met on any site and made our holiday even more enjoyable, so welcoming and chatty....10 out of 10 from us all for this place! 🥰
