Great for cycling!

We visit Grafham Water a lot as its convenient for us to do a two night weekend stay after a stressful week at work, this is what we did on this occasion, although we have stayed longer before. We find this site relaxing and quiet with some wonderful trees and a great pizza van that visits on a Friday evening! Its a lovely site and kept immaculate by the wardens. We have noticed some positive changes since our last stay. Love the idea of a flower meadow!! We visit this site often as we love to cycle. Grafham Water is brilliant for an off road cycle (about 9 miles around), the scenery is wonderful especially when the sun is out as it was for our weekend. Before now we have also cycled on the quiet roads to St Neots (A Sustrans route). And of course we can't forget the resident owl! He is beautiful and you get regular glimpses of him from the trees or fence around the pond. If you are quick you will also get great photos! We even picked up some tips for our Scottish Adventure tour (!) planned for next year from the friendly wardens! What more could you want from your weekend! Thank you - we will return soon! 😊

A nice area to visit but don't spend long on site.

We booked the site because we wanted to cycle around Grafham Water. Although the weather was not good, it was still a lovely activity. We also cycled to Huntingdon along the pretty back roads. Sadly we were not particularly impressed by this site. It is well kept but it was very crowded and cramped. The hard standing pitches are quite close together, but all the grassed areas are used to pitch further vehicles, everyone is overlooking each other. This is very much a car park with very little recreational space. If like us you are using it as an overnight stop, it will be ok. It is far too cramped for a lengthy stay. A nice area to visit but don't spend long on site.

Very Nice Site

This is a very nice quiet site, not far from the Lake. Service pitches are good and convenient. Make sure you go to have a talk with the very friendly resident owl.

What a lovely site - got to return.

Top marks to Dawn and Carl the wardens of the site. They have worked hard and the result is an excellent site. Cleanliness and order throughout. This site is ideal for a peaceful and tranquil break. We were there from 19 to 25 April 2018. Although the toilet block is closed for cleaning once a day I am convinced they inspect and clean it more regularly as it was always immaculate. The wardens are always available for a chat and help if needed. Grafham Water Lake is close by and excellent for walking or cycling. If it rains don't miss IWM Duxford for a day out looking at their aircraft museum, its huge! Finally don't forget to look out for the resident owl! Its a hoot! Got to go back there again. Big thank you to Dawn and Carl for making this place so special.

Short stay but will return for longer

Stayed here for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived could not have asked for more helpful wardens. Sorted us out so we could fully utilise the service pitch. Excellent for cycling. Must return for longer visit

Excellent Site

We have just spent a week on this superb site, (15th-22nd April) and found everything about it faultless. The facilities were spotless, also plenty of room in the cubicles, including proper benches in the showers. Dawn and Carl the wardens, were very pleasant and hard working, and was a pleasure to get to know them. The location and the site in general, is very good, and we will certainly return asap.Thank you Dawn and Carl, for making our week excellent. Kindest regards, Jeff & Chris Dixon.

Great Site with an unusual extra feature

We have used this site three times in the pas twelve to eighteen months and love the location and tranquil atmosphere ideal for families, grandparents with grandchildren etc. The immediate area has lots to see and the site has it's own unique 'Ollie the owl' what a fascinating bird to see. The site was water logged and required Dynorod to sort out the problems much to the relioef of the wardens who incidentally are a lovely couple. Such a pity that the club has decided to close the swimming pool as when we were there last September it was such a lovely afternoon for the children.

Great weekend

We had a great weekend at Grafham despite the weather. It was the first weekend for this site for the year. There were a couple of small issues but the wardens were excellent and kept everyone informed and could not be more helpful. We will definitely visit again and hope for sunshine.

lovely site

Quiet smaller site facilities spotless despite the inclement weather and the wardens were brilliant with frozen pipes power failures and a boiler breakdown all dealt with in a calm and cheerful manner by the wardens .The only improvement that could be made is that in view of the amount of cycles on site a secure cycle shed would be appreciated.
