Lovely site

This was a lovely site, great location for St Ives, Truro and surrounding areas. Best beach we've been on! Excellent dog walks. TV reception very good and wifi good signal ! Supermarkets only 1.5 miles away. Toilets very clean, lovely hot showers. Friendly wardens. We would definatly return

Another great stay!!!

As a family of 4 plus one dog this is our fourth time here. This time we booked back end of the season for a change and it did appear less busy, however what a difference new wardens make. The last time we was here we was earlier in the Summer but all the caravans were tightly packed in which I would say is all down to the original wardens. This time a complete set of new wardens that couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. All pitches are what I expected from the caravan club more spacious than previous years. We turned up in terrible weather and we couldnt have been more welcomed by the wardens advising of us condition of pitches etc due to the amount of rain. Its nice to see we have the papers back this year which saves either having to go across the road to the other site or getting one whilst out and about. One thing I notice from some of the other reviews is the concerns about accessing the beach with a dog, the beach hasn't changed and you can still take dogs on to the left of the lifeguard hut which is now shut due to the condition of the steps. The steps have been battered in the storm but they are still used a lot and you can get down with care, less mobile people can turn left again at lifeguard hut and follow cliff along a short way and can gain access down a sand dune onto the beach.Only query I would like to ask the cc is about the WiFi, when I asked the wardens I was told you can only access one device when registered which I did find strange but I can confirm that isn't the case and we used four devices on one login details. Prices seem to have come down as well its £2.50 per day or £10.00 for the week.Speed of it was fine as well.Shower block on site was lovely and clean and a nice touch with the fresh flowers in them. I do think though they could do with an upgrade and especially for the men who have less showers. My only quibble with the showers and I noticed it more and more people dont clean floor afterwards leaving sand on the shower floor but this was later on in the day.We will definitely be back and I do hope they can keep the same wardens.

Tremendous

What a great place! We were on tour so intended to stay 1 night, however the place was so good (and the beach and bodyboarding fantastic) that we asked for another night, which the staff were very happy to do.  Nice friendly people and brilliant, spotless facilities.  Watch out for two things( not the site's fault by the way);-sat nav takes you to quarry down the hill from the site; if you have a motorhome like ours with the grey waste outlet on the nearside rear its a bit tricky emptying out as the road past is one way.

Second time round and just as good

So we arrived just gone midday to a warm and friendly welcome from the wardens, who even remembered us from last year. Cracking start then. The site is great - peaceful, quiet, 15 minutes walk from the beach - get the kids to carry the stuff and save on the carpark charges. It's well placed to explore pretty much of Cornwall, especially the coves and fishing villages. The wifi and mobile were both a bit iffy but that could be where the van was pitched as it worked perfectly in the third cubicle along in the gents! I'd be there every morning at half nine for 30 minutes peace & quiet and a few turns of online Scrabble. The toilets were clean and tidy. The pitches are well maintained and didn't get muddy/boggy despite the rain. They're a good size as well and you're certainly not on top of each other. The wardens were - as ever - friendly, helpful and efficient. The only problem were the other caravanners. What a bunch of miserable, unfriendly people. Maybe I'd inadvertently upset every single person on the site but my hello's and good mornings were either completely ignored; replied to with a grunt or met with a forced smile and reply through gritted teeth. What a difference from last year when we chatted with everyone around us, exchanged stories and suggestions on where to go; what to do where to eat etc. If someone had been thinking of joining the Caravan Club, they would have been seriously put off. The exception were two teenagers who's adorable 12 week puppy I met outside reception. They were happy to talk about their new arrival and where they were planning to take him. Despite this I'm sure we'll be back - not next year though, I've got my niece's wedding in the States in August. Don't let me put you off though - it's a great site and well worth going to. If only it wasn't so far away - oh well, ho-hum

Great for a chill out!

It was our first visit to this CC site, but we loved it! The wardens were so welcoming when we arrived, frazzled after travelling all night! The pitches were well drained despite the amount of rain that fell whilst we were there, no bogging down here! Close to Hayle by car, due to the rain didn't explore much on foot! A very relaxing holiday! Would love to stay if we ever come down to Cornwall again!

Great place to stay

Stayed for 3 weeks and had excellent holiday. Great to see the  Wardens  from last year doing a fantastic job , despite the reputation they were left with from the former wardens . Really busy site that was kept as clean and tidy as possible despite problems with the showers etc .  Great location ,will be back for our 7th Year !

Brilliant site

We've just enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks on one of the best caravan club sites in the country. The wardens were all very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and make our stay enjoyable. They were especially kind to our two children.  We leave them feeling that we have gained some good friends. The shop is well stocked and the toilets are clean (and we love that you don't  need a key!). The site is very well positioned being close to St Ives, Lands End, Lizard, Minack, Penzance etc It's proximity to the beautiful beach is great - very safe for young children as there are natural rock pools to bathe in.  Thanks for everything - we've had a lovely time (despite the weather!) and  we'll  be back.

super 2 weeks

Very nice site. Wet suit shower. Clean and tidy showers and toilets. Occasionally a bit sandy after you followed kids but never dirty. You are by a beach though. Nice ten minute walk to the beach. Pub ten minutes walk away too. Large pitches, friendly wardens. Found a lot of places nearby better to access by train and bus. Park and rides nearby. Very nice holiday.

Just returned from godrevy park

Site is nice in a good location, I was shocked to see people cleaning wet suits under the drinking water tap when there was a facility provided also people letting dogs drink from the fresh water tap. The toilets were cleaned regularly but soon got dirty some campers have no pride or respect for other campers, or the wardens.

Lovely location

This site is in a brilliant location for  cycle routes, beach, and St Ives, supermarkets close by .  Lovely site, and amenities , wardens could be a bit more helpful, and go the extra mile to customer care, but then again I'm not on holiday with them.
