Another great break

Just back from our 2nd stay at this site. Lovely location, immaculate facilities and warm welcome from the wardens. We got a large pitch on the harbour wall looking straight out to sea so could watch the tide come in and out and lots of sea birds. The local pub, the harbour Inn is a very short walk away and they do very nice food. Booking is recommended as it is very popular. The locals are very friendly and the pub is dog friendly too. There are regular buses to Newton Stewart and Isle of Whithorn with the stop being just outside the site. Peaceful atmosphere, we will definitely be back.

Great site

This is a lovely peaceful site set within a great part of the country. There is a great floral display to greet you at the site entrance followed by a warm and friendly welcome from the wardens. This is a great place to come to get away from it all with plenty of walks close by and the local Hotel is a short walk from the site offering great food at good prices.

Great break and lovely location

We used this site as a base for touring and we were very pleased with all aspects. Our 2 young children were safe on the site whilst riding their bikes and playing.  We will definately return to this site again.

Lovely CLub Site and Location

The Caravan club site is in a lovely location with views of Garlieston harbour. We stayed in a pitch without awning close to the harbour side and enjoyed a very pleasant short stay there. It is a very well kept and tidy site in a good area for dog walking and cycling due to the scenery, and surrounding mostly quiet country roads.

First Scotland visit

A lovely site in a beautiful location very good clean and well maintained facilities. The site wardens were very friendly and helpful and readily available. Visited the nearby villages and towns and the bus rides were good although a little more expensive than we are used to. Would definitely revisit. Maureen and Peter Manchester

Our Scottish Trip

Very peaceful site, helpful staff not much to do in the area except walk. Good local buses and a nice meal in the Harbour Inn.

Keep going back

Have visited yearly for the past 10 years at least and it is our favourite club site. This year the weather was bad, wet, windy and cold most of the time. It is a pity to see the village shop still empty and the housing development at the back of the site is still left unfinished and unsightly. The site itself is excellent, clean and well maintained, a credit to the friendly wardens. Probably not for people who don't like dogs, never seen so many including our two, but great if you do have dogs, beaches adjacent and lots of walks with little traffic, wonderful bird life and fantastic views. Not much for children to do though, it is rather like an adults only site. Very quiet and peaceful. Till the next time.
