Excellent family site

What a well run and well kept site, considering its size, it could not be faulted. Our three grandchildren really enjoyed their stay and we loved seeing them so happy, on their bikes with a great ride around the lakes, watching the sailing, plenty of ice creams and just enjoying the site and the park, all on the doorstep. What a shame that some members moan about children on site in school holiday times, unbelievable!!

Amazing

What a fantastic site, lovely and clean, well kept pitches and beautiful scenery. The park is directly next to a fantastic array of walks with lakes and coffee shops. Will most definitely return.

Disappointed

This was the second time we have stayed on this site and we were a bit disappointed as we didn't enjoy it as much this time. we maybe went at the wrong time of year but it was absolutely heaving with children, we have a school at the bottom of our garden and dont mind he noise at all but this was ridiculous. they were everywhere on their bikes and scooters and had no regard for your property or the traffic on the site there is an accident just waiting to happen !!, we were told the other side was quieter but we chose the other one as the times of the toilet cleaning suited us better. the area was lovely and we had some lovely walks and enjoyed going on the steam railway but I am afraid we wont be returning a third time

So much to see and do

I used to live in the area and was back for a family reunion. It is quite a big site in two halves. We chose the quieter hard standing side. The other side appeals to children as it has a bigger activity area. Very friendly wardens who worked hard keeping the site immaculate. Plenty of water /rubbish points and lots of space on pitches. Another attraction being a steam railway line only yards from your pitch.

A Relaxing Location...

We stayed at Ferry Meadows for 3 nights it was our our first break as Caravan Club members, we loved the whole experience... The pitches were nicely spaced so you didn't feel intrusive with the "neighbours" we stayed on a hard standing as we didn't put an awning up but all around there were others who had without lose of space in your pitch. The blocks containing the washing/ toilet facilities were scrupulously clean at all times throughout the day - night... We went on the local Nene Steam Railway for a bit of nostalgia, it was great and as we stayed at Ferry Meadows it gave us a discount on the tickets :-) There are lots of local walks for the dogs owners amongst us and the dog loved the area also. All in all a nice place to stay and without doubt we will go back. Thank you to the staff for our break, the way you look after the site is credit to you all! Oh and Franks Ice Cream visit in the early evening was great for an end of day treat.

Summer hols

This is the second time we have stayed here and again it was fantastic. The wardens and toilets were first class. The surrounding area of Nene park gives plenty to do for eveybody. Nene valley railway is near to the club site with a sailing club close to. My husband and I with our 2 dogs walked our legs off just walking around the park down the river and to the local dog friendly pubs for a drink and a packet of crisps. We had another great holiday here and we would recommend Ferry Meadows to everyone

A fabulous first time experience

A brilliant site for us and our dogs, lovely walks and dog friendly pubs nearby. We stayed 5 days and didn't feel the need to leave the site at all. We left rested and refreshed and will definitely be returning to explore the villages.

Weekender

Ferry meadows is a lovely clean site full of activity during the daytime. Lovely and quiet at night time the wardens while we were there were constantly on the go. Lovely walks and nice town to go shopping . A good weekend break

Fabulous!!!

We have stayed at this site many times and it never gets boring. With the country park on the doorstep we rarely venture anywhere else except to go shopping and we normally stay for two weeks each time. The park itself is heaven for dogs (and children) with lots of wide open spaces for them to run and the large lakes to swim in (dogs I mean). The site itself is very well kept by the wardens and pitches are well spaced out. We highly recommend.
