Great Site

This was our first visit to this site. The wardens are friendly;the facilities are clean and warm- a welcome in such horrid weather. The site is pretty quiet but we were there in November. The proximity of the town is a bonus - there are plenty of places to eat, and convenient shopping. Something to note is that the only cashpoint is now in the local supermarket - it wasn't working when we were there so, cashback was the answer - luckily we like cheese and wine a lot! The site pitches are level - a slightly tight squeeze with our large motorhome and the site entrance over the bridge needs careful negotiation, but all in all this is a site we will return to again and again.

Our favourite site!

This is our favourite site in England. It is picturesque and superbly located within a couple of minutes walk of a lovely small town with a good range of specialist shops. The facilities are not only excellent but are maintained as spotlessly clean as any we have ever come across - a real credit to the helpful and cheerful wardens. We go for a few days each Autumn but we are sure it is equally pleasant at any time.

Wet holiday

The site was very well managed. The Wardens were very helpful and knowledgeable. The site is very convenient to the town - and local shops perfect for this time of year. Although it rained all week, the site was perfect. We shall come again.

Great start to motorhoming!

Our first proper stay at a site since buying our motorhome and really impressed with the amenities and the cleanliness. Location perfect with good food and drink on the doorstep. Can't agree with the other reviewer about the Anchor though. The pensioners lunch excellent quality and value and a warm welcome. I hope to be back at this site very soon.

Peace & Quiet

Our 3rd visit within 12 months - says an awful lot about the site! Great location within the village, allowing provision shopping, idle browsing, good eating, and excellent beer. Walking is superb, and well signed, although I'd pass on the Anchor @ Exebridge - walk to the Badgers Holt instead - a bit further, and more strenuous, but far more genuine reception, food & beer!

Excellent site

A lovely tranquil site even though it's only a few minutes walk to Dulverton. Friendly hardworking wardens keep the site and facilities pristine - thank you wardens.

You're My Favourite

We have been visiting this site on and off over the years and it is still one of my favourite on the club network. All the usual facilities that a club site offers in a great setting adjacent to the River Barle in Dulverton. Dump the car and everything is on your doorstep especially if you enjoy walking. And just to offset the previous review, we found the wardens and relief wardens at this site extremely friendly and helpful.

Wardens to avoid

We'd stopped on this site before and loved it.  However this time the dressing down in full view of other members I received off the warden on arrival for arriving a few minutes early prompted me to cancel my booking and leave without checking in. The site is lovely, but until the wardens are changed or the current set get some customer relations training, I'm afraid we won't be going back.
