Top site.

Excellent site, more for the older camper. Very clean facilities, very well maintained site and superb wardens (Debbie and Keith, who are lovely people and are always a pleasure to see there). Good location for walking, excellent pub (The Bridge Inn) just down the road and good Thai Restaurant and takeaway in the village. Superb local butchers and a small Coop store, grocers, bakers, hardware store and pharmacy etc are also all in the village. We’ve been here several times and it remains at the top of our favourite sites list. We love this site & will be back! (Just had our fifth visit there).

One of our top sites

Stayed here in late March for two days, after the snow in the West Country, some days earlier. The reception staff were known to us and their welcome was as friendly, and helpful as ever. The town is a short stroll away and there is a Co-op mini supermarket for any necessary supplies, and a superb butcher, a couple of doors down. The "Bridge Inn" serves excellent food, but at lunchtimes it can be packed solid. As we found out on our second day, and had to resort to a local cafe for lunch. I dread to think what the pub would be like come summer. However, the site is one of the best we have stayed on and we would certainly return again.

Relaxing campsite on Dulverton's doorstep!

Stayed for four nights in late March thankfully to find all the recent heavy snow had gone. My first visit to Dulverton and my first Caravan & Motorhome Clubsite visit, and I wasn't disappointed...the staff very friendly and informative on arrival, the site very clean and tidy, and the facilities excellent. A reasonably sized dog-walk on site, plus plenty of local walks nearby. Didn't notice any noise from shower block, so assume it had been rectified during the short winter close-down. Dulverton Town with some interesting shops is literally a few minutes walk out of the entrance gates. Very relaxing to walk round the town and the back streets, and through the Churchyard. Excellent sausages and meat from Lloyd Maunder's butchers in Fore Street., superb fish & chips from Dulverton Fish & Chip Shop, also in Fore Street. Bread, cakes & pies etc from Dulverton Delicatessen, Fore Street and beautiful artwork, gifts, jewellery etc (plus stoneware & plants in their quaint courtyard) at Browns Jewellers, in the High Street (their facebook page is more informative than their website). And a final credit to the townspeople of Dulverton...not a single scrap of litter anywhere! Recommended!

Lovely quiet campsite

We stayed here middle of March. This is a lovely quiet site. The toilets and showers were spotless. We had a pitch by the river which was lovely. Dulverton is a mere 5 minute stroll as is the Bridge Inn which serves a great pint and good food.

Love this place

Loved this site, stayed on the Wednesday and Thursday between Christmas and New Year 2017. Turned up, booked in and drove round to find a pitch we liked, had to drive round twice as they were a bit full. We parked next to the shower block – which turned out to be really handy when, after eating fishcake and chips from the local chippy one night, they decided to make another appearance 4 hours later so I had to make a very quick dash to the loos, thankfully at 10:30PM, no-one else was in there…. Agree with another reviewer about the intermittent humming noise coming from the shower block area, not sure what it was but it got annoying after a while. Shower block was lovely and warm and clean, just like all C&MC site shower blocks really – all credit to the wardens. Site literally on the edge of Dulverton village. Bought a booklet with all the local walks in and went on one, bit of a mistake as it got really muddy in places but after all the indulgencies of Christmas, it was nice to get out and about in the fresh air and walk off some calories. Had a nice meal at the Bridge Inn one of the nights we stayed and another night had fishcake & chips (as mentioned already above…) which were nice first time round. Nice little dog walk – we don’t have a dog, we have a cat so I took him in with his harness but made sure I listened out for the gate going so I could scoop Ollie up if I needed to. The wardens saw me carrying him whilst they were cleaning the facilities and came over for a fuss and we had a nice chat about our elderly moggies. All in all, really liked this site…not a great deal going on in the immediate locality but would be a nice base for Exmoor, etc and there’s plenty of quirky shops, pubs, restaurants, a Co-Op, etc for such a small village. You won’t regret a stay here.

Stayed again

We stayed again over Christmas. We like the area, the close location of the town. Was disappointed this time. We were pitched close to the Shower Block. There was a very noisy motor, or fan, or some type of equipment running, which became a slight nuisance as it kept cutting in during the night which, in turn woke us up, being a quiet area is sounded louder than it was. Apart from that, no problems with the site, very tidy and clean. On Boxing Day we saw the Hunt meet outside the Lion Pub, then lunch, we had the rabbit pie again, would recommend the food. Will visit the site again.

Another wonderful stay.

This was our 5th Christmas staying on this site, in a wonderful location. Can’t recommend it enough. Dulverton is a lovely town, lots lovely places to eat, such as Woods and the Thai restaurant, a little further away is Tarr Steps Inn. People are very friendly. Lots of lovely walks for all abilities.

Marvellous!

Handy for Trumpton (Dulverton) and all its lovely individual shops and an 'open all hours' Coop. Walking is good, straight from the site. Handy for all Exmoor and North Devon coast attractions. Spotless facilities. Great!

Excellent site!

This is probably the best site we have ever stayed on in our 2 years of caravanning. The location is excellent, right in the village, with shops and pubs to hand. The site and facilities were spotlessly clean and tidy and the staff amazing and friendly. We will definitely be back!
