Pleasant site close to Exmoor

We had a pleasant stay here. Great views from most pitches. Wardens incredibly helpful. A pub within 5 minutes walk. We were pitched backing on to the road which was rather noisy at times. There are lakes for avid fishermen. I thought toilet/shower block was rather small for the size of the camp and had to wait rather a long time to use the loo! We rode our bikes to Tarr Steps - don't try along the river - it's incredibly hard work on rough stones and rocks! There's a lovely pub at Tarr steps though. There's a small Cooperative supermarket in Dulverton.

Beautiful Exmoor

Stayed at this site for one week in August, lovely quiet clean site with beautiful views over the Exe Valley. Ideally situated for many NT places as well as coastal towns. Would definitely stay again.

First Trip out in our Motorhome

We arrived at about 7pm on Friday evening, being first timers we didn't really know the score, but all was explained to us by the very helpful staff. The site was well laid out, and the shower block/amenities were clean modern and plentiful.  If you stay here you must visit The Anchor pub 5 mins walk away, you get a 10% off voucher from the office and the food is fab.  We will be going back again. All in all a very successful 1st trip.

Enjoyable first visit to Exmoor. July 2016

Immaculate site in every way which is well laid out. Warden has obviously gone the extra mile to keep things pristine. Plus points are peace and tranquility without being remote, also lovely views from almost all pitches. To take full advantage we were encouraged to pitch "front on". For those without children and no need of a playground this is definitely a 5 star site. Stunning area with the facilities of Dulverton only minutes away by car.

Brilliant Wardens/Lovely site/Outstanding Croissants

This is a lovely site in a beautiful area. It is immaculately maintained by extremely helpful Wardens who go out of their way to add 'a little bit extra'. Unfortunately we were delayed on our long journey and were therefore directed to the Late Night Arrival Area so as not to disturb other people. Formalities and paperwork were happily left until the following day so we could get settled in. However we were offered Croissants for breakfast if we would like to order them. These are usually available from 0900 but we had to leave the site at 0800 for an appointment. No problem to Dee and Alan 'we'll have them ready by 0800 for you'. Fantastic service and, Oh My Goodness, they were the best croissants we've ever had! We were away from the site until very late so didn't get any ordered for the following morning - again no problem, we were told. 'You can collect them at 1200 for lunch if you'd like'. Amazing service. Beautiful area and lots to do - we'll be back (and ordering the croissants in advance!).

Five Star Wardens

This was our second visit to this immaculate kept site by two dedicated & extremely hard working wardens (Dee & Alan), the pitches are large and spacious with views across the valley which are stunning. Even the the shop is well stocked for your needs. Alan & Dee should get some sort of recognition from the club for the very high standard of this site. The only gripe we have is that yet again when the wardens are not around the 5 m.p.h is not adhered too, plus there members who leave the toilet block in a disgusting state, and hats off to the wardens who have to deal with this. Will be returning in October for an other week.

Wow what a lovely site

Spent three night at site, absolutely fabulous, the site is a total gem. Great park and games room for the children. Lovely short walk past the lake to the riverside pub where the Children enjoyed paddling in the shallow river. The wardens and spanner the dog were very friendly and helpful. And thanks to Alan (the warden) for his very good caravaning tips, and for being so kind to our daughter. Next time we visit will remember to park the correct side of the peg.

Very Nice

The site was easy to find. Booking in was fast found the pitch we wanted, might be difficult when school holidays. Dog walking area great plenty of grass for the dogs. Excellent & clean site. Nice walk to the pub which needs to be visited as the food was great & hosts. Will be back as this is a great place to stay.
