2 nights for the 6 Nations

Fantastic location and site right on the Firth of Forth. Stayed for 2 nights when we were up to watch Scotland beat England in the 6 Nations. Very easy to get around and helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely be visiting again.

Super stay in Feb 😊

We were up for 4 nights and to see the super Scots beat the French at Murrayfield. The weather was not so good but as we expected for Feb. The site and staff are wonderful. They work hard to keep the site and facilities in top condition - thanks!. The walks and views from the site over the Firth are great when the trees are without leaves... And the bird life is great too! We enjoyed a return walk to the Old Chain Pier in Leith... Worth booking! The bus services are great too... 27 and 16 are great for Leith and the city... 38 from the Morrison's to Murrayfield. Enjoy!

Doggy Heaven

Recently stayed here for 6 days and had a really good time. Stayed in our motorhome with 2 small dogs. Each day we were able to walk along Crammond with the dogs and let them off. Very sociable place with other dogs. Just like 'doggy heaven'. At the end of the walk is a small village where we found Crammond Inn which is a lovely pub but unfortunately a little temperamental on opening times so dont depend on it. Dog friendly though. A little further on is Crammond bridge which is another lovely walk. Very good site and staff who were very helpful with local knowledge of the area. Also a very clean site and showers clean and good. Took the minbus from reception into Edinburgh which took us right into centre and picked us back up. Very reliable. Also there is a good bus service too. Not many eating places nearby only a Toby inn so had an indian meal delivered to site recommended by site staff. Will be using this site again and would definetly recommend. Thanks for a lovely break. Tom and ange

Excellent site + Very helpful

Stayed for a couple of nights. V comfortable site with all amenities (loo's were lovely & warm at 3am on a frosty morning!). First trip out in campervan - Had a couple of newbie teething issues but staff were very helpful and sorted the problem. Thank you.

Dependably excellent

We have visited this excellent site several times as there are few better bases for exploring Edinburgh and surrounding districts. Also has a Parkrun (Crammond) on its doorstep which is a great way to start your Saturday anywhere. Always clean with excellent facilities and the staff are always brilliantly informative and friendly. Bruce & Lorna

Peaceful mid week winter break

My first solo trip in the Red Tardis. I loved the site. This is my second visit & first one alone. I felt safe, the staff were so helpful and the site was very quiet. It’s an easy walk to the bus. I know Edinburgh well and there’s a lovely Boardwalk Cafe 5 mins away on Crammond Foreshore. The weather was very cold and it snowed but everything was fine. The public areas were gritted. Taps didn’t freeze either. I would recommend this site in winter as there’s still plenty to do in Edinburgh. There’s a good bus service too. The shop was closed as was out of season but it would have been great to just buy some milk or morning rolls. It’s not a complaint as I understand why it’s closed but with a few of us on site in snowy weather it might have s@ved a trip out. That said I loved my stay. Added bonus of some great bird spotting on the site plus an urban fox mooching around . I’ll definitley be returning though I guess it’s a completely different site in summer.

Nice Stay

We stayed on this site for 3 nights last week. The site is well laid out and the pitches spacious. There is plenty to do in the local area we visited the Royal Yacht which is only a 10 min drive away. Edinburgh is close by and there is plenty to do in the city. There is some noise from planes but it didn't bother us too much.

Great site for the capital of Scotland.

Have used this site several times in the past and will do so again. It has just about everything for almost everyone - couples, families, children, dogs; also peaceful, near the city but with coastal walks on car free roadway; bus route and nearby facilities too many to enumerate. On site the pitches are good and almost all pretty level with good TV and most can get satellite TV too. On this occasion we decided, with it being over Christmas, to treat ourselves to one of the very few fully serviced pitches mains water, drain cover in the hardstanding for grey water as well as having electric and space for awning. Great - we thought - except for two things. Firstly, the connection for the hosepipe onto the water supply tap is NOT the normal one we have come to expect, i.e. it is not a threaded tap outlet, nor does it have a male connector for the very common female hoselock type that 99.9% of us use. Instead it has a permanently fixed brass female hoselock type as an outlet with a lock ring that has to be pushed back to allow a MALE hoselock connector to be inserted to then allow your own female connection to be attached before turning on the tap. Fortunately I carry a male-to male connector to join two hoses together in case of the occasional lomg distance to such taps, but be warned. Secondly, it was a very frosty, icy period of time at Christmas and my lovely blue water hose froze solid overnight at each end, due to no water flow being required for hours. Also the float valve inside my uninsulated water barrel developed a large icy flat collar around it, over those days, only discovered when I tried to remove it when packing up. But over all it was great fun - if only I had known and had been prepared. I've only been caravanning in Scotland for a mere 35 years !!!! You would think I would have stumbled across this before now. Fore-warned is fore-armed. Enjoy Edinburgh Caravan Club Site.

Winter and Xmas Break - spent a week over Xmas festive period.

This is a very popular site for visiting Edinburgh City Centre. Choice of Buses, taxi, or walking the promenade. The site is very clean, tidy and friendly wardens. You can make this holiday break, as lazy or active as you fancy, as there’s plenty to do during the festive period. PapaT - Aberdeenshire
