We visited at the end of July before our trip to Orkney. Lovely site, beautiful beach in easy access. Very busy as Route 500 is so popular, so a must book. We ended up on grass but with a motorhome prefer hard standing. Block is key access, given one as standard but more available if you ask. No mobile or internet access. Friendly wardens, good local knowledge and of other sites in area.
Fantastic site.
Recently stayed at Dunnet bay. What a fantastic site.Lovely clean and well maintained site with great access to a beautiful beach.Lots of places to visit with amazing views... The wardens were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.Hope to visit again in the future.Would recommend this sit to anyone visiting the Highlands....

Great site
Another site we visited on our highland tour, Dunne Bay is a great site with wonderful views of the bay we sited by the gate to the beach with uninterrupted views, it's a very clean, neat and tidy site with extremely clean facilities from here you can visit castle of Mey, John o'Groats and Dunnet Head which are all close by and a must see, it's a dog friendly site with the beach practically joining it
Stunning location
We stayed here for one night on our tour around Scotland, if we had known how beautiful the location was we would have planned to stay longer. The site is right on the beachside with easy access, facilities are spotlessly clean, site staff are very friendly ( sorry didn't manage to get the guys names). We visited Dunnet Head, John o Groats and Duncansby Head which are all only a short distance away, top marks A****

Finally made it to top of the country
This was the best site during my tour of Scotland 's CC Sites , had 4 nights with no problems , but yet again I have to comment on the ridiculous number of dogs , the club needs to address this issue and soon , children have to be paid for , and dogs do not and that is why some people bring 4 or more dogs with them --- for free ----!!

Another great stay at Dunnet Bay
We had another great stay at Dunnet Bay. After spending a week travelling route 500 we stayed at the Bay for our second week. We had a great relaxing stay. The short walk to the Northen Sands Hotel is a must. Went into Thurso on the bus for supplies. The bus stop was only a couple of minutes away. I would recomend the forest walk accross from the site.
What more can be said
Stayed overnight but wish it was longer. Good job we had boked as the site was full and no wonder. Fabulous location, fabulous site wardens, fabulous facilities. Yes, everything was FABULOUS. Great beach for the dogs and great area to explre. If only it wasn't so far away from us else we would be here every weekend. Good job you guys at Dunnet Bay, a credit to you.

Book to avoid disappointment
This is a great CC site, sorry, CMC site, with fabulous views, access to an amazing beach and kept immacculately by brilliant wardens for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is perfect for the Highland 500, perfect for anybody in transit to Orkney via Thurso or Gills Bay. But it is small, so if you have not booked you may be turned away, and alternative facilities are not plentiful, although the kindly wardens will point you at possibilities they cannot guarantee that those sites have availability.

Superb site superb wardens!!
The wardens here went over and above their duties and customer service requirements. Friendly and helpful.... love them!!! Now the site - well wow. That's all I can say. We wanted to go somewhere where we could chillout and relax and we certainly did that here. Fantastic views and a great destination. Dunnet head is better to go to than John o groats and the gin distillery is a definite winner!!! A week here for us next year without a doubt xx
Fantastic Site very Dog Friendly
Fantastic site situated right on the deserted beach at Dunnet Bay. Not just to be enjoyed as a stopover on the 500 Route. Brilliant for walking and there also is a lovely forest across the road. Dog friendly to the extreme and this site was made better by the great service from the Wardens. Thoroughly recommended!
