Lovely Site position

Very friendly welcome from the wardens and a biscuit fro the dog!!! Right next to the beach and even though the pitches are all grass they are firm and drain well. Handy fro a trip to the local supermarkets and a nice place to eat half a mile along the road Northern sands

Lovely beach

This site has the potential to be a top-notch site. There are two factors that let it down. 1. The road - there needs to be some expense spent on fencing alongside the road in order to not have to watch the motorbikes that scream past plus it will help to deaden it slightly. 2. the rules - there are very polite notices everywhere telling you what not to do. They could be limited or put in the manual. Apart from that, it's a lovely site with a spectacular beach and the wardens did their very best to help us with any problems.

Lovely campsite.

We stayed here as we wanted to explore this part of Scotland and as such there are very few campsites in the area. We joined the Club as it worked out cheaper per night as we were staying for 7 nights. The campsite is clean, well cared for and the wardens are friendly and work very hard to keep this site clean. The beach is amazing and most of the time deserted. Our dog loved it! The road behind the campsite can at times appear noisy as wind carries but don’t let this put you off.

Wonderful sight in amazing location next to the beach. Helpful friendly staff and excellent facilities - peace and quiet as we wanted for relaxing

Decided to join the club here following experience with friendly and helpful staff. For us this was a perfect site to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. The beach was appreciated many times a day by our dog as well as ourselves. Go to local shops in Thurso etc ( 3 supermarkets) and specialists and buy your basics: bread, milk and free range eggs from the site. Then just chill. Visitors Centre above reception is one of the best we have seen. Dunnet Head is well worth a visit but comply with the warning signs to avoid becoming a grisly statistic for the coast guards ... Selfies are the most dangerous type of photography!

Bright and breezy

Pitch on grass but seemed firm even after rain. Breezy while we were there but it was the far north of Scotland so no surprises there! Excellent facilities, fantastic location, and helpful staff.

Fantastic location

First time here, what can you say. Fantasic location, what a wonderful beach, there were times when we had it all to ourselves, dog loved it. Wardens great, facilities spotless. Can't fault it at all.

Perfect location for NC500

Stayed here 2 nights. This is a good choice for anyone doing the NC 500. The site is easy to access and the facilities are excellent. The site is exposed and from talking to people It seems to be permenantly windy. Be aware that the site is right next to the road and there is a surprising amount of traffic. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this site.

Great place

Arrived at dunnet bay to a friendly welcome from Stewart and Chris Very busy site but we had an excellent pitch (50) Great sea views. Our dog loved the beach as did we. Plenty to do in the area and we were quite lucky with the weather. Very windy site so I would use an awning there. Shop before you go or it's 25min drive. Great site would return in the future
