This sites a breeze
This is a good well kept site with friendly staff and a very well stocked shop. The views are amazing during the good weather but disappear when the mist strikes. The toilets blocks are kept very clean the top one is about to be replaced with a new block.
The location is ideal for ilfracombe and Woolacombe the access roads are a bit narrow so take care.
There is a local village calle Mortahoe which has a couple of pubs and a really nice fish and chip shop which does get very busy.
The site is a quiet site with a large grass play area which is great for ball games etc. there is also a kite flying area which will become more clearer when you read below.
Now the downside it does get very windy even on sunny days there is a stiff breeze and the bad days are really bad. We stayed in July 2015 and the weather was mixed so awning ties are a must.
Overall a good site but do prepare yourself for the wind.
