Fantastic Site

Our family including 2 dogs were lucky enough to get a last minute booking and on arrival were really pleased to get a pitch on the edge of the large field with amazing views. Loved the area, the fantastic walks and scenery on the doorstep and the great staff including the superbly stocked shop run on the site. Best morning croissants ever !! It was our first time to Damage Barton and we plan to come back next year. Thanks lots !!

Heaven.

A large site with lots of kids who were all extremely well behaved and having fun. Even so it was still nice and peaceful. In an enviable location with superb views over the sea. Facilities are excellent and it has a well stocked shop. Lots of nice local pubs and tea rooms and shops for tea and beer and food. The local walks are superb with some challenging cliff walks if that is your thing. I can highly recommend the coastal path walk to Woolacombe, about 6 miles of the most stunning scenery you will find. All in all I could find absolutely no faults with this site and we will definitely be returning.

Excellent yet again!

Came here for a three day stop over from another site (not a caravan club site I must add as we left it in disgust!)  Turned up early expecting to have to wait in the car park until allowed on site, but was greeted with a wonderful smile and welcome and told that we could be accommodated without any hassle! Really pleased with this after our last experience at the other site.  Like last year when we came..spotlessly maintained.  The weather was really against everyone this month but that aside, we just felt totally relaxed once on our pitch and chilled out! Not really a lot to add to be honest. The guys here are meticulous in looking after this place and it really shows too!  Can we complain really? If it is to be one minor niggle..perhaps a drop down seat in the shower area to keep your stuff off the floor whilst showering ?  Apart from that...love the place I could write loads of 'guff' and really go to town with this place, but there's no need!  Well worth the time and effort getting here. Would we come again? But of course! Spot on!

Just Wonderful.

Been to this site a few times,  and it's just wonderful. Access is via a narrow road, and as long as your careful, and patient with other road users (who pull in for you usually) is not an issue as passing places are frequent. The site is well situated with views of the sea, and headland. As such, it can get blustery, so tie down for awning recommended. Toilets are clean and well looked after-with a completely new block being built at the top of the site. The sites shop is open from 08.00-20.00 & offers everything from Beer (horay!) to bread and at very reasonable prices. There is a local bus hourly at 3.60 adult single from Illfracombe, but £8ish gets you a day rover. Stunning walks, and well spaced out pitches (some sites locally really ram them in). Great, friendly staff, and lovely walks. Ideal.

when we went last August it was extremely windy ripped our awning. Some of the pitches were flooded. We left early due to weather so did many other people no money back offered. The location of toilet were far away from where we were pitched. the view when weather nice stunning. the location of site tricky to get to

Remarks

couldn't fault site helpful staff very clean facilities and site set out well for views over looking to sea. Only down side electricity could do with up graded to 16 amp especially early spring and late summer and many new caravan have up to date blown air heating. Would of minded paying that little bit extra for the extra amps.

Fantastic site

We have just returned from a weekend at Damage Barton and will certainly be booking again for longer. The toilets and showers were spotless and could not be faulted in any way. Although it is outside of the village catching a bus right outside the site and with a timetable from the excellent information area we were into Woolacombe within ten minutes. The family who run the shop are so very obliging we ordered croissants for breakfast went back 20 minutes later and they were fresh out of the oven and piping hot. A very well stocked shop at reasonable prices. We cannot wait to go back

Stunning views

Arrived beginning of September for 4 nights. Great well kept/maintained site. Shower/toilet s spot on and roomy. Stunning views and due to that will not go on about the exposed site. It's what you get when the vista is so lovely. Awnings need to be secured well but hey, we loved it. Would return again definately. Dog walk ok. Surrounding areas to visit stunning. Bus stop outside site. Mortehoe is a lovely village. We found tesco in infracombe very handy for stocking up. Hard working and friendly staff. On site shop good but pricey.
