First time away this year

2nd year of having our caravan in storage here and if there had not been a change of wardens we would have looked elsewhere. What a difference a change makes, new wardens so welcoming and helpful but not intrusive, their job can be difficult at times lets hope everybody appreciate them. All some much more relaxing and enjoyable. Only minor problem a few loose dogs on occasions, it's all very well people saying 'they are OK with other dogs' but how do they know mine are?? Great walking area particularly down by the canal, hope to visit at least once a month this year.

Good times

We have been visiting this site for a long time now apart from being quite close to home, no more than an hour and a quarter, it is ideally located in the country, quiet and relatively easy to get to. Over the years the wardens have been friendly and welcoming apart from one short period when they weren't too sociable, even so the site was well cared for. After a long period of not visiting we returned to renew our acquaintance with the site and are happy to say were not disappointed and the wardens were superb. They helped with a few small challenges without hesitation. In particular we were greatly appreciative of Terry and Karen who were on their first ever site as assistant wardens let's hope the more challenging campers don't diminish their enthusiasm. We wish them well for the future, hopefully we may get back before they move on at seasons end.

Tip top for 2017

Always a well situated site we have visited many times. Mercifully, not the all-to-common mass conversion of pitches to hard-standing - we always prefer grass- apart from anything else, using awning pegs is a doddle. A big, big welcome to the new Wardens! Would not have been difficult to better the previous incumbents, but the fresh blood scores 10/10... The previous "management" succumbed to a request by some member/members request for musak in the Toilet Block! And it still blares out pop 24hrs a day in 2017. Oh dear, surely we want to get away from the din of daily life...when on site. Like it or not, kids amusing themselves, dogs barking(ugh!) and raucous sundown parties are quite enough.

Happy days again at Daleacres -

We were so delighted to see new wardens at Daleacres. Once again there is a warm welcome when you arrive and throughout your stay, Sadly this was not the case for the past 2 years...the previous wardens were officious, rude and had very nearly put us off ever returning , very sad as we have been regular visitors to the site for the past 15 years. Such relief when we arrived last weekend...happy, friendly people again. Love it and thank you !

First time but not the last!

This was our shakedown weekend. Our first time in our 2002 Compass Omega. We had a lovely time. Warden's were great, really helpful, Facilities were excellent, everywhere was clean and tidy. Had 2 nice meals at the Botolph Inn Bridge. Port Limpne Zoo on doorstep, Great walks along the coast near by. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely little site

We've stayed here several times and have enjoyed it every time. The staff are friendly and polite. The pub which is in walking distance serves good food. The site itself is well kept and clean. We will definitely be back!

Excellent first night as caravaners

We only live a few miles from this site and chose it as the location for our first night in our new caravan, rather than a trailer tent. The staff were friendly, the site peaceful and the pitches large and well spaced. The loos/showers were not the cleanest but were ok and were probably fine after the daily clean. Will be going back next year.
