We have returned again and again

This was our 5th visit to Daleacres and we enjoyed our stay once again. The wardens are lovely and both my girls loved seeing them each day. Lovely clean shower blocks and facilities. We will be going back.

Delightful

Our first ever trip out with our caravan. Daleacres is a lovely site with beautiful views. Large well kept pitches in a lovely setting. Facilities excellent including separate childrens bathroom which is extremely useful. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return.

Round and round

This is our third visit to the site and before the negatives I must say what a very well run, clean site it is. All credit to the wardens who are always helpful. The location is excellent for us as we love to cycle and there are plenty of routes to follow. Ironically, cycles are our main bug bear. It was a Bank holiday in the middle of the school holidays but by the end of our stay we were thoroughly fed up with the incessant stream of children of all ages using the roadway as a cycle track, using the speed bumps as jumps, going far too fast for the safety of themselves, young children running around and the elderly. We saw three of them fall off, normally when they came off the road and the front wheel buried itself in the gravel of the hardstandings. I was just waiting for one of them to plant their bike into the front of my Motorhome, crack one of the bumper fairings and you can kiss £1000 goodbye! Who would pay? We will definitely be back to Daleacres, but please wardens control the children, I'm sure a gentle reminder would be sufficient if it's reinforced enough. If they cant be controlled perhaps the parents should have their membership revoked?

Not very helpful

Hi like to say site is ver nice facilities nice and clean and plenty of them. Plenty of room on pitches. It is not a quiet site which we didn't expect anyway when it's for families and we like that anyway bit of a buz. I would have given it more stars except the staf were not very helpful. I had not been on a caravan club site before and when we arrived no one asked us if we had been before they just gave us a sight map with a yellow line drawn on it and said any white post round there and can you be quick and let us know what pitch you are on. We didn't know how big our pitch was how to park on it or anything. We found out from a fellow caravaner that on most club site you park with your offside corner to the post however we didn't find this out till it was to late we had our awning up and everything. Such a shame as it was a very nice site and we will go back no thanks to the staff though

short but enjoyable stay

Used the site for a short break with our granddaughter. The site was very clean and well laid out. Staff very professional & helpful. Facilities clean and well maintained. Location well placed for the South coast area, although access via country roads a bit tight,  driven with care no problem. Will use this site again soon.

A big THANK YOU from the first timers!

It's our first caravan, we'd had it a couple of weeks, so wanted somewhere not too far from home for our first outing. We chose Daleacres - whew, great choice!! The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful, explaining it all to us with great patience, and making us feel very welcome. Having camped many years ago, we were very impressed with the cleanliness and facilities in the shower block, and the washing up area was equally good. We met some lovely people on the site, who let us look at their kit to get some ideas, and gave helpful advice. Our tent pegs proved to be only fit for a childs tent, so we learned from the experienced and invested in some you can put in with a drill - so much easier than all that kneeling and banging! The dog walk was great, mown pathways, a great space and lovely views to look at as we walked. Our dog couldn't wait to get back there again...and again...and again! I know now...not to take too much food, they sell great local produce on site; not to take too many books, there's a very cheap book sale area in the reception. It was lovely and quiet, a bit disappointed not to hear the lions but the wind (lots of it that weekend!) was probably in the wrong direction. We had a great time and can't wait for next weekend - just hope the Bognor site is as nice. Yes, there were kids on bikes, but they were kids having a great time - after all, it was school holidays and it's hardly the M25 - let them have fun, the serious stuff comes all too quickly. A huge thanks to the lovely staff and the kind people who gave help and advice or just chatted - we are already looking forward to a return visit.

Great dog walk

this site has one of the best dog walks I have seen . The pub down the road is certainly worth a visit. Now the bad bit I have nothing against children just idiot ones who choose to ignore the speed limit and the one way system, with the number of bikes there it is suprising there has not been a serious injury. My second gripe is the wardens are too lax on enforcing the rules for cyclists.
