Happy Travellers

I found this site to be of an excellent standard. The staff were friendly, helpful and we received a very warm welcome from all of the staff. The level of cleanliness was to a high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site. We look forward to visiting this site again in the near future.

A very nice Site

We stayed at Daleacres last week for three nights. This was our first time here and thought the site was really nicely laid out. We had a grass pitch near to the dog walk which was really convenient with lovely views up to Port Lympne Zoo. We thought the facilities were spotlessly clean and in a good position on the site. The only downside was the lady warden when we arrived. she was very polite but had no knowledge of the area. As Motorhomers we walk everywhere , and on asking about local walks she said there was only one. In fact there were several lovely walks although they all started about 1mile from the site. We walked into Dymchurch across the footpaths. The beach there was amazing but the town not so. But the walks along the Royal Military Canal were lovely, and the circular walk up through the zoo had spectacular views.

1st time we have used this site (however)

We have been members for 10 years and this is the 1st time at this site for us. The site is let down badly, by the lack of grass cutting and when we asked why? the warden said," that it is now a club policy to leave the grass at 2.5 inches long !!!!", it was at least 5/6 inches long in some parts, and my wife tripped over an electric cable that was hidden by the long grass. The tiolet block does not need to be closed for 2 hours and certainly not from 10.30 this was so inconvienient and as the shop is closed at the same time, it makes no sense, a further point is that the bins seem to be overflowing and not emptying enough at this holiday weekend. Wifi rubbish, tv good wardens some times great sometimes awful. Having said all that we would come back again (if the grass is cut).

Pleasant site

We stayed for a couple of nights over Easter and found the site to be very pleasant and peaceful with lots to do and see in the vicinity. Hythe is a nice distance to walk and the canal is lovely to walk along. We also went on the steam railway to Romney Sands which was fun. With regards to the actual site, this was up to club standard but the grass didn't look like it had been cut recently which gave the place a slightly overgrown unkempt look which was a shame. The weather had been dry so not sure why the grass hadn't been cut.. Didn't come into contact with the wardens so can't comment on them.

Disappointing for a caravan club site.

1st time we stayed at this site. Stayed for 5 days. Toilet block closed for 2 hours 10.30 till 12.30 which also means the office and shop closed which Is so inconvenient. Bins needs emptying more than once a day, bin area needs cleaning. I have never seen a caravan club site with such over grown grass. Not once did I see a warden out and about clearing up or cutting grass. Grass was so long throughout the whole site. The games room is locked of an evening? The tall male warden was friendly and helpful. The short male warden needs customer service training very abrupt rude and not at all friendly. Such a disappointment. Won't be rushing back.

Never again

Been coming to this site for over 6 years and never had a problem up till now. Don't know why other reviews favour this site as the cleanliness has deteriorated, the shower block is now closed for 2 hours at the inconvenient time of 10.30, the WiFi is abysmal and one of the male wardens needs to attend a lot of customer care training. Needless to say I wont be back anytime soon

Dissapointed

Stayed here about 6-7 years ago so thought we would revisit. Very disappointed that was once a very well kept site is now overgrown grass, poor facilities, miserable warders. The grass was very long and had not been picked up where it was cut so it trampled in the van and the toilet blocks making an awful mess. The MSP WC emptying point was no tin use, we were no informed so when we drove round to empty prior to leaving site we then had to pull the WC cassette back to the SP near the toilets. Warders were not very happy, maybe having to deal with a full site? Toilet block in need of an update as all work surfaces were covered in white limescale and they were tired and dated. Good location for the coast and surrounding area and even though the site was full it was very quiet at night.

Lovely site

This is our second visit to the site and once again we found the site to be very clean and the pitches are spacious with plenty of room in between each unit.

Excellent Site

We took our five year old granddaughter away with us for a couple of nights and we all had a very enjoyable time. Port Lympne Safari Park is well worth a visit. We saved 20% by booking on line and also received vouchers to go to Howletts Zoo Park for only £10 per person. We plan to go to the golf centre down the road during our next visit. A well run site with plenty of walks and wildlife. A big thank you to the wardens for their hard work.

Beautiful site

We have just returned from a 4 night break at Daleacres and had a lovely break away in our motorhome. Perfectly situated for many days out. Site was well run and toilet block was always spotless, staff very accommodating and helpful in every way. We would defininarly return again. Many thanks
