The wardens were very friendly and accommodated us together which was great as it was a friends birthday and this made it special for everyone !

Very friendly wardens who accommodated us together which was nice as we were celebrating a friends birthday over the weekend. We have stayed at the sight before but the present wardens were particularly nice and friendly and as we all had Vw motor homes they showed a keen interest in our vans and made us feal at home. The sight was immaculate and we will definitely revisit.

A brilliant week

This was the first visit to this site and we were impressed. The staff were so helpful finding us a pitch and even helping push our little caravan across the grass. They gave advice and help on where to visit with our dog and we always were greeted with a smile and a sincere hello. we liked the pitching areas in groups. We get so fed up seeing caravans in rows. We are already planning another visit when the site reopens next year.

good kept site

Have been coming here for 4 years the site is quite the deer just rome around while you are just sitting by your caravan having a nice cup of tea no bother at all. The wardens work very hard keeping this site up to Caravan Club standards especially when it rains as with any site gets very wet and slippery they do there best to keep things running. Toilets and showers are fine for this site. Train Station just 5 min walk from site and lots to see around Dorset. Wardens have put all sorts of things made of wood around this site Wooden Train, Bug Hotel which is always fully booked up haha ect ect they have made it very pleasant to walk around well worth a visit.

September Week

Wet Start could fully understand the care the wardens show for the Site like protecting the grass. The railway station on the door step fantastic left the car parked nearly all week. The pub next door very poor, advise find somewhere else to eat. Great base to explore Dorset. Helpful Wardens super Site

Peace, Quiet and Wildlife!

Stayed for two nights getting used to our new Campervan. As we drove around the site selecting our pitch, we were amazed at how tame the Deer are. Once set up and settled a young Deer actually came up to within a couple of feet of us and almost rubbed noses with our very well behaved Jack Russell. The site is very natural and extremely quiet and peaceful. We didn't hear any road noise as mentioned elsewhere and the trains weren't much of a disturbance either. No unpleasant aromas from the dry composting loos either. The site is every bit as clean and well maintained as other CC Sites we've visited so far. And as always, The Wardens are very friendly and hardworking.

Wet start

We booked online giving details ,arriving on a very wet day to be told ,not to damage the grass and could we stay on the gravel car park ,so not the best start ,setting this aside the site is pretty surrounded with trees and wildlife, good for exploring Dorset, plenty of National trust and good food ,a bit pricey at pub next to site ,steak and chips ,too drinks each £67 basic pub food ,recommend the wisemen in next village ,on the whole not a great start ,showers dated ,toilets odd ,pretty site ,but sorry would not return

Long weekend break

Had a pleasant 3 night stay at Crossways with our dogs. The site was quite busy even in September; the wardens were lovely and the site is well-maintained and facilities clean. The dry composting toilets were a great idea. The site is in a very good position, easy to access from a main road but with little noise from it once parked up - although every time a train passed you heard the warning! Water pressure in the showers was unfortunately very poor, and it would be good if the details could state that the dog walk, although of a good length, does not allow dogs off lead, indeed it would not be safe as it runs alongside the site road. Huge plus point is the very short walk to the local hostelry which serves decent food at a good price :) Have no idea about families as ours is canine!

Lovely site

This was our first stay, we found it to be well maintained and peaceful. The site is located close to all attractions being only 4 miles from the coast. What also makes this site a good place to stay are the wardens, they are very friendly and take time to talk and work very hard.

Peaceful and relaxing break with wildlife to watch

Enjoyed a few days break at Crossways. Myself and Millie the dog loved watching the deer coming to visit and got some great photos. Site itself has a very chilled feel and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. Composting toilets were fine and the train line which ran close by I hardly noticed. Loved the woodland feel and great size pitches. Back to nature was just what I wanted. Looking forward to going again.
