Beautiful Site

We have recently spent a week at Park Coppice, returning after an enjoyable relaxing week during August last year. The pitches are superb, used our newfound "local" knowledge to ensure we got a higher pitch with better draining awning area. Weather was typical April in the Lakes, but the relaxing atmosphere, and gorgeous surrounding countryside were ample compensation. Facilities great, staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend to families - our dog's favourite site also.

Super site

We stayed here for easter with our 3 children. When we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly staff who helped us locate a nice pitch for our stay. The facilities are nice and clean. It is ideal for many of the wonderful sites around the Lakes.

Lovely site

We come up to this site every easter, and always leave well rested. One gripe though - the site needs more well-drained hard-standing (difficult I know when you are in the middle of a wooded area and don't want to detract from its natural setting). We have just got home and have spent 2 days drying out after a week of near constant rainfall (which is fine - its is the Lake District). But the pitch was water-logged after about 10 mins and we were quickly reminded of glastonbury! Apart from my little gripe above - absolutely perfect and very friendly wardens as always.

Already re-booked for summer!

Just back from an Easter break at Coniston Park Coppice, what a great site it is. There are pitches to suit everyone in this perfect woodland setting. The beautiful Coniston Water is only a 5 minute walk away & Bowmanstead, Torver and Coniston all within easy walking/cycling reach for good pubs and food. The site facilities were fantastic, there are 3 shower blocks which were immaculately clean all the time, plenty of waste/water points and 3 small play areas. The site itself is set in woodland so although it was windy we were well sheltered. Also great for playing in the woods (even the kids joined in!) We decided we wanted to visit again with leaves on the trees - so we re-booked for August before we left. All in all a fantastic site and highly recommended!

Perfect for that getaway

Great site with all you could want with plenty of space and interesting pitches within a 2 min walk to the lake. Getting there can be interesting with the tight winding roads but worth it. As usual clean, tidy and friendly wardens as with all CC sites. Town is a 20 min walk down to the lake and thru the fields or 5 mins in car with some good pubs to eat and drink. Overall a very pleasant visit and would definitely go again.
