A fabulous week was had at the beginning of April with great weather, quiet roads, a pair of Nuthatches took some bread crumbs and of course the famed Coniston Bluebird Bitter at the Black Bull...just FAB!...FYI Wilsons Pub at Torver is fantastic for food and service with a smile just now and also we tried the Jintana Thai Restaurant (Compston Road Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 9DJ) which was fantastic for something alternative to pub grub...but of course other pubs and restaurants are available!!
Mish.
Wonderful five nights at Coniston
Just spent five nights at Coniston Coppice for our first visit to the lakes and was not disappointed. The site and staff were superb, facilities were spotless and the location fantastic. Ideal base for exploring either on foot or bicycle as the site has various links to the surrounding countryside. Lots to do and see with the village of Coniston within 15 minutes walking distance having several shops, hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars. We will definitely be returning again.

Love Coniston
We probably re visit Coniston Park Coppice more than any other site, and it's only 40 mins from home. The adventure starts with the warmest welcome from the CC Team. The facilities are immaculate and the choice of pitches varied to suit most tastes. The site is well positioned for Lake access and a short walk will have you in Torver or Coniston with a great choice of pubs. Loads to do in Coniston, great cafe's shops and museums. And the Old Man for the energetic walker. Will be back later in the year, can't thank the staff enough for making our Lake's experience perfect.
Thanks Elvis
A great site our third visit, pitching up no problem but a motorhome had the keys to the pitch and had left nothing visible on the pitch, Carl 'Elvis' Dixon the warden sorted this out with no issues which was a relief as we'd set everything up. Great stay through the week all staff really helpful then on the last day almost all packed the key broke in the wheel clamp and wouldn't budge, after a lot of hammering to try and release it, I went to see the warden and 'Elvis' offered to try and drill out the lock and came down to the pitch, I'd continued to try and pop the lock and just managed it when he turned up. It was great to have such support from the wardens when problems occur and a big thanks to Carl for his help through the week. We'll be staying again with hopefully no issues but knowing I can rely on the wardens support if anything did happen is great.

Stunning site
Very friendly staff, very clean site. Lots of privacy between pitches. Quite steep in places which adds to the beauty of the site. Access to the lake from the site is brilliant for a quiet evening stroll. Loved our stay, thank you!
Excellent venue.
Excellent venue and friendly efficient staff. Very handy for lake and walking to Coniston village off road. Be careful towing on the lake side road and around Torver.
Brilliant for dogs.
excellent site
This is an excellent site although levelling blocks are a must on the majority of pitches. We have just come back from a six night stay here. The toilet blocks are first class and the wardens very friendly. The site is well spread out with individual areas for one or several vans. You wouldn't know this site has over 200 pitches.A 10 minute walk takes you down to the waters edge and ideal for dogs. The road leading to the site is ok but a bit tight in places but no issues. This will obviously be much busier in the height of the summer. Will definately be back later in year

One of our favourite sites
Our third visit in recent years and we are looking forward to returning soon.
We like the seemingly random layout of the pitches in a woodland setting.
Friendly reception from the wardens and good standard of facilities . Very pleasant walk close to the lake into the village , and plenty of good walks in the area . Perfect weather for our weekend stay at the end of March!
.
A large site with pleasant walks as expected for the area. Easy walking reach of lake and town. Could do with a couple of directional signs to show the route back into the lower end of the site.
First visit - not our last!
First weekend with the new caravan and awning and a new site too...!!! Fortunately the weather took it upon itself to be kind to us... We couldn't have asked for better! Four days solid sunshine.
Helpful wardens on arrival, usual rules, speed limits etc. Advised of which walk was best to get to the village. Pitched up close to the bottom play area, good location, handy for everything. Easy walk into Coniston for sampling the local ale, nice walk over to Tarn Howes. Cant wait for our next trip.
Facilites spotless, usual caravan club standard. Just wish everyone would adhere to the site speed limit. It's there for a reason,.
