Great site

We have stayed at Commons Wood many times, it is a lovely site, very clean, excellent facilities and wardens that are friendly and helpful, that go the extra mile to make your stay trouble free. Mick and Kath

London Trip

The site is ideally placed for Harry Potter studios and trips to London. The only downside is the showers. They are dated and need modernising. They have to be on maximum temperature and the pressure is very poor. Minor thing though. Paul

Must be the worst showers on any site

Very nice clean and tidy site with helpful and friendly wardens in a good location. What a pity about the showers, is there a water shortage? Thought that I'd never get the soap out of my hair.  Childrens water pistols would be more useful.

Commons Wood

Just back home from my second visit to Commons Wood. Just like my first visit it was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This was especially important as I was there on my own. The site is so easy to find and the space very generous. Looking forward to going back soon.

Good site

I have stayed here many time whilst visiting family. I travel over 800 miles from Shetland and have begun to feel 'at home' on arrival at the site.  The wardens are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The only thing I find difficult is the use of many pitches by workers, presumably commuting to London. For me this changes the ethos of the Caravan Club somewhat. However I cannot fault the facilities or friendliness of the staff, I look forward to arriving at Commons Wood site and enjoy walking my dog in the beautiful adjacent woodland.

Autumn break

2nd visit to this site this year. Staff are friendly and site is well run, location for our purpose is ideal (visiting family near by). Facilities are kept well and clean but are showing signs of age, wear and tear with poor water pressure especially in the showers.

Commons Wood

Despite the efforts of the wardens, clearly many members agree that the site is looking tired and in need of a makeover. I am a fairly frequent visitor and note how grass and weeds are beginning to take over the hard standings particularly adjacent to the roadway. The storage area also needs some attention, as some parts become waterlogged after heavy rain leaving more mud than hard standing. All this has been said many times in earlier reviews by others but nothing seems to be done about it.
