Lovely well kept site. Cheerfull and welcoming wardens.
We had a brilliant week with the grandkids , just as the lambs had arrived in the ajoining fields.
We can reccomend the wardens printed local walks from site (donation to local charity) .
This site is one we'll definitely be returning to.
Excellent site
This is one of my favourite sites and with fabulous wardens who could not be more helpful and welcoming

First visit April 2017
A nice site with a homely feel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Facilities regularly, and well maintained. Not 5 out 5 for the following reasons: 1. Many pitches are not level so bring your levelling ramps; too few female showers (problem could get worse at busier times/ if site expands); other sites offer more for older kids (> 11yrs). Overall we enjoyed our break and the weather was kind to us.

Great first visit
Having owned our first Motor home for a little under a week this was our very first site visit.
We were warmly welcomed by site Warden Deb, who kindly explained all the facilities and gave me useful hints and tips about selecting and saving my pitch and where all the points of interest were. I can't speak highly enough of Deb and her husband Phil who were more than happy to take the time to give simple, straightforward help and advice during our stay, it really helped make it stress free and special for us.
The site itself was looking great, work was progressing on the flower beds which should look stunning when the warmer weather arrives. Having said that, we were lucky with the weather and the site is tucked away so probably escapes the worst of the weather anyway.
We took trips out to Portmadog, the 'Italian village' at Portmeirion and visited the gardens at Bodnant, the site is well situated for a raft of local adventures. If we are down that way again we would certainly visit again and maybe try one or more of the local steam railways. The pub down the lane from the site does good food at a reasonable price and the chippy in the next village is good too.
Thanks again to Deb and Phil for helping to make our visit a great success!
Edge of heaven - CC you were right
Absolutely beautiful countryside the walks from site fantastic for dogs. Facilities spotless.Only gave 3 for families as I cant really comment as no children but plenty to do. I most definitely be returning next year when open shame its not open all year
Lovely site will come back
Site very handy location for a base warden's helpful nice size area's definitely will be returning.
We love this site and will go again
Just spent our second holiday based at this site and have no hesitation in going again. The biggest attraction for us is its ideal location right in the heart of the main mountain ranges and forests of North Wales but also just a short hop from population centres with essential facilities. We also recommend it for its spacious and well-designed layout, large level pitches, good toilet block and great wardens. The site's rural location is an absolute essential for us as absence of noise is always top of our list of priorities - although, on this occasion, from our particular pitch, we could clearly hear the traffic on the A470/A487, but it was not intrusive inside the van so didn't bother us.
Walking break
A lovely clean and very friendly site with access to plenty of walking. Would definitely go there again.
