First class site

Must agree with all the good comments previously made about the cleanliness etc of facilities. The wardens were outstandingly helpful and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. They obviously enjoy their job, take pride in their site and go out of their way to help you enjoy your holiday whatever the weather! This attitude makes such a difference to a good holiday, many thanks!

Lovely site

We have just returned home from a ten day stay on this site and can't wait to go back. The pitches are generous and well kept, the facilities are all immaculate and the wardens very pleasant and helpful. Add in the stunning scenery around and about plus lovely beaches not far away and it's easy to see why this site is so popular. If the dog walk was a bit bigger it would be a plus but that's a very minor criticism and we have been to sites where the so called dog walks were much smaller! We found the site almost by accident as we had previously booked elsewhere, a very happy accident and we will definitely be going back. Many thanks to the team on site who helped to make our stay such a pleasant one.

Super little site

This site is quite remote but makes up for that with high CC standards. Well laid out excellent toilet blocks. Washing up and showers. Immaculately kept. It is right in Snowdonia and has easy access to the coast, port merriam, and slate mines. It's also goo for MB tracks.

Immaculate site

I have just stayed for my 1st visit to this hidden gem of a site. The site has a spacious feeling to it with pitches spread out around the grounds. The facilities are 1st class and immaculately clean. The showers were lovely and hot and also spotless. The wardens here are very friendly and give advice on the many attractions close by. You are within 20 minutes of the beautiful Black Rock Sands of Porthmadog and Harlech. The Ffestiniog railway is also close by. Beautiful Snowdonia scenery and definitely a site I will return to.

Lovely site in a beautiful area.

We haven't visited this part of Wales before, but we will definitely go back. The scenery is so stunning and memorable that it is difficult to find suitable word s to adequately describe it. The site itself was very spacious and well laid out; all of the staff were lovely and really helpful; and the facilities were very clean with oodles of hot water all the time.

Excellent

Just came back from a one night stay with our little pup really quiet site immaculately well kept very clean and very friendly staff and very accommodating we live quite close by but this is perfect for a nice break where there a few nights or a week or two weeks I think families with young children would struggle for a long stay because there's not many amenities but you don't want that on a caravan club site anyway perfect

Interesting site and area

Just enjoyed 8 nights at this site with our family joining us for 5 nights. The site is immaculately kep and the Wardens and Assistant Wardens very friendly and helpful. The area is very convenient for all aspects of visiting North Wales from seaside to mountains. We went out and about during the daytime but the site was very peaceful at night which was nice and the views over the hills was a pleasure to wake up to.

One of the Clubs best sites!

This was only our second time in Wales so was a little uncertain about the location suiting our needs. However the site is in a good location for accessing much of north Wales and Snowdonia, taking in Anglesey, the coast and beaches, castles, railways, industrial archeology, countryside, lakes and a diversion to Tuscany! It is our kind of site and much preferred and superior to the many flat club sites designed to the club design formula which leaves them devoid of character. Laid out in a woodland setting with pitches grouped on different levels it avoids the rows of caravans look of many sites. The landscaping is lovely, the children's play area very generous and whilst small, the dog walk is enough to allow fido to do what he/she needs to do. The wardens were very helpful and hopefully not too upset with wasting their time with my self inflicted electrical issue on arrival..... least said! It is a site we hope to return to. However be aware if you like to eat out the local pub has now closed (didn't look exciting and any pub with a sky sports banner immediately puts me off) so you have to drive to access anywhere to eat. I was full of cold for most of our stay and the weather didn't help so we did not explore as much as anticipated or do much walking in the area. Nevertheless we had a train ride to Ffestiniog, visited Portmeirion (as an architect this was a dream visit), Harlech castle ( not for those with vertigo!). One disappointment is the train up Snowden doesn't allow dogs on board and neither can you take dogs into many places including Portmeirion, be warned - initial impressions are it is not an overly dog friendly area.

Fab site, fab location

This is our first visit to this site and we will definately return. The wardens were more than helpful even when we said our children might not turn up until late. The site is peaceful and the facilities are clean. Lots to do in the area, our children went to zipworld one day and climbed Snowdon the next whereas me and the other half walked around Llanberis Lake - a lovely walk which took us three hours. Porthmadoc is also worth a visit. Couldn't fault our stay.
