Clumber park review

Generally the site was fabulous but our only complaint would be that the shower block was closed from 10.30-11.15. We thought this was too early in the day especially if you wanted to have a relaxing morning in your caravan. The location of the site is perfect for our lifestyle, the information hut was very useful and the site was clean and tidy. My other concern was that the shower block keys fitted both male and female blocks! This was slightly unsettling and I feel it would be safer to have individual male and female keys as we had previously  at Coniston coppice caravan site.

New Year stay

We often visit this site as we like walking in Clumber Park. The wardens are very helpful and keep the site looking good.  Unfortunately, our pitch suffered from flooding in the awning area but I imagine this is due to the unusual amount of rain we have had. It did drain quickly once the rain stopped.  We do agree with another reviewer that the facilities could stand some updating, but everything worked and was clean, so no complaints.

Stayed over the New Year, peaceful site, all hard standing during the winter, site clean and tidy, a fab short break, staff were polite and helpful. No complaints, will be back again.

christmas break at Clumber

We stayed here for the Christmas period arriving on xmas eve. Lovely quiet site, excellent for access into the park. didn't use car for 5 days as weather good for walking. Toilet facilities were adequate due to the fact that the block that was open in our opinion need updating whilst the wardens clearly do keep them clean they are in need of upgrade. Wi-fi is indeed poor here and we were unable to get any EE mobile signal whilst on site. We would use this site again in the future and would definitely recommend.

Good Xmas Break

We had a lovely weekend break at clumber over the christmas period. When we arrived there were hardly any arrivals and we pretty much had the pick of the site. It was good to know that the grass pitches are not in use over the winter (so don't issues with getting stuck in the mud), and you can pitch up up on the lovely level hardstanding pitches. The staff we found to be very helpful and friendly, and they helped our family find us when they came to visit for the day. The dogs and the kids had a fantastic time exploring clumber park and to have all that literally on your doorstep is great.

Another new year stay!

Stayed here again for the new year. Upon arrival there was a huge motorhome in front of me (no problem!) and a site worker getting the tractor out (no problem!). Then, the site worker asked me to move my outfit forward trying to squeeze in a space that wasn't there, potentially compromising my outfit & the motorhome in front. I moved all of literally 2inches as there was no space & this pacified the worker?!! I may be sounding like moaning for no reason, but really didn't see the point in what the worker was asking me to do. To make things worse, his attitude wasn't the best! Anyway, went & got booked in no issues. Found our pitch and got sorted. The toilet block wasn't to, in my opinion usual CC standards with things being broke which we reported to reception. The wifi was again non existent so a waste of £2.50 (not a lot but not the point!) overall we Had a lovely new year, but as always seems to be the case when we stay here, customer service could be improved (try smiling?!!)

Christmas at Clumber

Following Christmases at Hawes and Moreton in Marsh we spent 6 nights at Clumber over the festive period. This was so we could have a day with family in Nottingham. Site was fairly quiet until arrivals for New Year when the site filled up. For TV reception you need a cable for the hook up bollards and mobile signal is non existent although a short trip back up the entrance road gets one. We have a yearly CC wifi package but this was the worst site we have been on for ease of usage. Problems logging in and very slow speeds. Facilities were up to usual CC standards. Nearest supermarket is fair drive away at Worksop and there is no local shop nearby. Plenty of walks from site directly into Clumber Park. Imagine the site would be very busy, especially in school summer holidays, but we enjoyed the peace on this visit.

Breakfast with the elves weekend stay

Firstly no TV reception so had to buy a cable for the television reception  £15.plus no wireless cover, you could pay for this but £2.50 a day ,but we decided not to.reception was received once we were outside the park. Did ask the lady on reception, which way I should go for a leisurely stroll.to the cafe, she wasn't that helpful, tried to sell me a map,I said not nessesary so she gave me a free printed map?it was just a stroll away.remember to take a torch with you for late evenings/afternoons as gets very dark quickly. The tiolets and shower blocks were clean and warm as should be,clean pot washing facility's  We had breakfast with the elves.as a Xmas treat perfect

A really enjoyable weekend.

We stayed for two nights on the weekend before Christmas. The site was quiet and peaceful but there was enough to keep our grandchildren occupied in the play area and around the woods. The facilites were clean and tidy and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will definately go there again.

A wonderful stay

What a lovely peaceful, well kept site with fantastic staff and although weather was not at its best when we stayed we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be returning again.
