Good site

Site was kept in usual clean and good condition, however was not impressed by the wardens sunday leaf blowing machine a little excessive extremely noisy and within five minutes the leaves had covered the same position, a little silly considering the trees will be continually shedding the leaves. otherwise nice site

Another Memorable Halloween!

We have been lucky enough to visit this site 4 times, twice coinciding with the Halloween activities.  Our children love it here - as do we!  The biking trails around Clumber Park are fantastic our 6 year old managed a 12 mile circular with us on his bike and I did an 8k run one morning and didn't see a soul!  The Sherwood Pines MTB trails are fab, kids loved the green route and us adults took turns to do the red route which is fun.  The Wifi on site didn't work at all and there is no signal on the mobile phone - there is however a telephone box so that is useful!  The state of the ladies toilets in the mornings was a disgrace and I felt sorry for the wardens having to clean up after some of the disgusting humans we are unfortunate to have in our excellent Club. I have found this at a few of the more popular sites now and think something needs to be done - people need educating I think! The wardens are so friendly and funny and as always the bike lock-up was full to the brim - please can you install upright stands in the first lockup and utilize the central area more - there would be room for many more bikes if this was sorted out.  Overall another fabulous stay and we will be back!

Half term Halloween

Not visited for some years, but not disappointed. Facilities up to club standards, only down side was some members who dedicated in the ladies showers and left it! This renders two showers unusable.  Lots of pleasant walking around the park. Visited Doncaster amazed the selection of fresh fish available on the market and good selection of fruit and vegetables. A nice town. Retford another town that is deceiving as it has a long shopping area with good selection of shops. Halloween night was excellent, think most pitches participated in some way or other. Good seeing all the effort some members put in with some scaretastic displays. Will return again.

Lovely Site shame about the Wifi

This is a fantastic site and we had a great time but the Wifi was non-existent. As there is no telephone signal at this site it it a shame that something can't be done to improve the Wifi.

great little place for families. didn't see the kids during the day. kids park was great and centrally located. staff very friendly. lucky to bag a hardstanding pitch. clumber park is fantastic for bikes and walking. toilets were fair but always dirty due to mud and leaves everywhere. nearby is a small town called Retford which was beautiful and even had a wetherspoons. Will deffo be going here again (if we can get in)

Autumn glory

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Clumber Park, and can highly recommend it. Fantastic walking, cycling and running tracks, easy to follow signposted trails. We were lucky to stay here as Autumn was showing its full glory with multicoloured trees and,for a few days, glorious sunshine. Perfect. The site has easy access to the A1 and good for exploring further East and North. I had a few issues using Sat nav on arrival as there are lots of entrances and I got a bit confused but got there eventually. There were lots of families getting in the last break before winter and yes some of the bike riding was too fast. Parents need to educate and provide proper lights on kids bikes. We are from the southwest, and found the cafe's and restaurants locally good value. We did Go Ape at Sherwood pines which was good fun and visited Creswell crags which was very informative and good value. This site is well worth a visit and kept up together although some of the facilities look a bit worn. We will be back.

Nice site but busy during school holidays.

Clumber is a great site easily accessed with the bonus of plenty of off road bike trails-traffic free and mostly flat. There is a National Trust site to visit in the park with shops, cafe and a walled garden. Also bike hire is available. The site and its facilities are of the standard you would expect from the Caravan Club and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a secure lock up facility for bikes and a public phone box. There is NO mobile phone coverage in the park which depending on your point of view is either a blessing or a curse! For TV reception you will need a 15m cable to plug in to the electric  point-availble from reception for £15 cash.  A Supermarket is a short drive away from the site. You need to be aware that this is a very popular site for families and is very crowded at W/Ends and school holidays.Sadly the kids don't understand the territorial rights of your pitch or the prohibition of bikes/scooters etc around the toilet blocks. So if that kind of lack of behaviour annoys you avoid school holidays!! Apart from that-Excellent!!

Lovely location

Really beautiful location, excellent, clean facilities. Staff very friendly although (as I find with many Caravan Club sites), not willing to put themselves out too much. Would stay here again for the location.
