so glad we tried this site!

we wanted somewhere where we could try out our van without the awning..we have dogs, big dogs and have just bought a pick up. We are only 40 mins away from the site and I have to admit I wasn't really going with an open mind....however! what a little gem this place is, the staff were great, walks were lovely and the facilities were spot on, I couldn't believe how close to home we were...we could have been anywhere! This is the perfect site for us after a 5.30pm finish on a friday, and Ive a feeling it will become one of my top 5! See you again soon Clumber park...cant wait!

impressed

Used this site for the first time to make sure caravan ok for the coming season has it's only a 15min drive. I must say i was impressed from the start with the warden who booked me on and gave advise about the area and facilities to the pitches and the showers /toilets which had plenty of hot water and kept clean and warm. Clumber Park it's self is nice to walk around or bike round which we took to walking this time. The site itself was quiet even though it seemed to by getting busy, loved it and would book again

oh dear the national trust

the site is lovely we have been to the site a few times now .on driving down lime tree avenue found we were ten mins early so stopped to use our on board toilet , we were at once set upon by a national trust car park  van person  who asked if we were national trust members so I said I had stopped to use the loo to which he rudely. replied there are no toilets here! to which I replied there is in here we were then followed to the site entrance. so just be aware  of national trust rude staff

First visit

This was our first visit to Clumber Park CC site. As we only live twenty minutes away this was a last minute booking. We will definitely be returning to Clumber. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the facilities spotless. This is great area for dog walking, bird spotting and cycling. Great walks with our dog right from the site. Peaceful at night and friendly neighbours. What more do you need.

Go to site

We love this site been going since we joined the club 8 yrs ago.  If you want totally laid back with nothing to bother you & I mean nothing (phones or wifi) here's your site. When we go here we take all our meals & everything else we can think of then all there is to do is relax what more can you ask for. At certain times of year this site is definately overpriced so we do choose our times.

An excellent site.

An excellent site, we stayed for 3 nights had a great  time walking & cycling, as stated in the club handbook there is absolutely no phone are 4g coverage, paid for the clubs wifi but wasn't any good, it wouldn't hold a Wifi call. Disappointing. Only one cleaning block open because it was out of season, although the toilet block was very clean, now showing signs for reburbisment.

Great location but communication an issue

Clumber Park has always been one of our Favourate local sites with the ability to park up and walk or cycle around the Large park area. The NT facilities for eating nearby (several) are recommended as is a visit to the Walled Garden which is impressive. I regret the key factor which is an issue is the fact there is currently no Wifi available and as there is no mobile signal (any network) this is a problem. Come on Caravan Club this is the 21st century save your wardens a lot of hassle and come up with a wifi solution. Please !!

Communication

I am a regular visitor to this site because I love the peace and quiet of this area. All the staff have been great and done what they can to make my stay as good as it can be. The only problem I have is the communications on site ie phone coverage and WiFi.like it or not these things are part of our everyday life. I won't go into the reasons I need to stay in touch with people that's another story, but the club has been promising for several years ( yes years) the WiFi especially will be sorted.  I once phoned Airangel to complain and that was like talking to a brick wall. I pay the yearly fee for the Internet but I cannot use it on this site. So come on club get your act together.
