we use the club sites all the time and this has to be the best one we have been to. its a bird watchers, walker and cyclists paradise. surrounded by woodland it is a peaceful spacious site with plenty of room between pitches. excellent dog walking is available directly off the site and you can walk miles.children are well catered for with a large park area which although full of happy children was not noisy at all. for some the downside may be the lack of phone signal, but for us it was a plus. you are able to purchase access to the club wi fi if it is needed. the staff were friendly and helpful. to start with this was an overnight stop en route to another site. we didn't like the other site so we decided to return to Clumber Park and ended up staying 6 nights, and we shall return again.
Visit Easter weekend
Even though the site was full it was spotless the staff were friendly and approachable . this was our seventh visit and we will return
Great weekend just before Easter!
Plenty of children around as it was holiday time for most. However, we picked a site away from the play area. Lovely spot and close enough to the facilities and walk areas. We didn’t need to worry; the children were fine and we had a peaceful time. We like to take our bikes out and explore the area. We have a pet carrier and our dog is very happy being taxied around. It is ideal place to go with your dogs. Clumber Park is realising that they need to cater for dog walkers and there is a nice cafe, especially dog friendly and even sell doggie treats. They also provide water for them. We had a great weekend and plan to revisit later this year.
If you’ve never been here before, it is worth taking plenty of food and drinks. There isn’t any major shops nearby and also there isn’t a pub handy. We like it like that, but as a tip, it is a consideration. However if you like fish & chips, and they are delicious; they are there Friday evenings and on Saturday a pizza van making fresh pizzas on a evening. You can eat at Clumber Park during the day, but it is a couple of miles away and there is a charge if you’re not a National Trust member.
Overall a lovely site in a wonderful setting. The staff are very helpful and the facilities were kept clean.
Getting to expensive
I’ve just stopped at Clumber park and it was £33.15 a night I think it’s getting to expensive if they put it up for the kids breaking up they are as bad as the travel firms £66.30 for two nights in April not on we use this site a lot but if they keep putting the prices up they’re going to price themselves out of customers
Nice & Peaceful
Notwithstanding others' comments our two nights were undisturbed but to be fair there were very few children or families to be seen. The large play area suggests this will be a popular family venue. Only the hoot of owls could be heard once night fell. We liked the site and had picked it to test out the new cycle carrier and avail ourselves of Clumber Park (NT) cycle paths and a trip to Worksop for Mr Straws House (NT) again by cycle; the reception people were a great help in getting us onto NCN 6 and it was an easy ride. Access to the various trails was easy and Sherwood Forest Visitor centre is only 10 miles south, doable by bike but also with a carpark prepared to accept motorhomes.
Two different places
Stayed here for several nights which spanned a weekend and found the site and wardens excellent . I will however avoid weekends in future as families take over the site and the club rules seem to go out the window. This is not a direct criticism of all families just the ones that have large flat screen TVs in awnings and teenagers that race around the site after dark on bikes no lights and dark clothing in any direction !
Day visitors also bulk up the numbers at the weekend making large noisy family groups - private caravan parks charge for the Privilege of day visitors it’s not fair on club members that are paying for the facilities.
There also appears to be a very crafty move of bringing the caravan to site Friday afternoon and fetching the kids after tea when the office is closed.....
Clumber Park is an excellent location for cycling and walking plus a very nice cafe it’s also a great Club site shame about the weekends .

First timers - will definitely return
This is our first time ever in a motorhome and so our first visit to clumber to try it out. Everyone was so helpful, the site is beautiful, and absolutely excellent for cycling. The facilities are great, the shower/toilet blocks are immaculate and heated which is lovely. Just wished we'd stayed longer, will definitely return.

Our local site
Stoped at Clumber for 3 nights end of the first week in March to try out the Motorhome we had just picked up. We have stayed here a lot with our caravan over the years, as it was nice and local for setting up the van (kept in storage) before a tour. Clumber is a very pleasant site set towards the northern edge of the park. It is generally fairly quiet during the week, except at holiday times, but fills up to capacity at weekends. Great for walking or cycling in the park. The visitor facilities are set part way down the large lake, a circular walk around which is between 5 and 6 miles from the site, depending on the exact route. Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre, now in the newly constructed building run by the RSPB, is about a 6 mile drive. There is no mobile coverage on the site and indeed over much of the park. However, a 200m walk up Limetree Avenue, towards the 614 will get you a 3 / 4G signal on O2. The site Broadband is much improved. Although it will undoubtedly struggle on summer weekends, at full winter capacity I was still getting 6 / 8MB most of the time. The facilities are kept to the normal high standards, although the showers are not the most user friendly, having only a narrow perch to sit on. The MH service point was the old style, although the manhole covers were fairly easy to extract, even for my back. However, apparently they are putting in the drive over ones this week.
Great stay spoilt by generator
Love this site but spoilt by someone turning up with a generator on our last night. Is that even allowed? Where are the wardens? Now 9pm and still going strong!
Good Location with walks from the site
Welcoming & friendly staff. Great location with walks into Clumber Park. The shower block is a little dated but very clean. Disappointed how weekend bookings block other stays but that is a problem with many popular sites. We took part in our first NT 10K run and will be returning.
