Often used by us as an overnight stop when travelling north or south. Well up to CC standards. Very lively during weekends and school holidays, great to see young people having fun but watch out for gangs on bikes and scooters. TIP: If visiting in the Autumn avoid pitching under one of the many horse chestnut trees unless you are a very heavy sleeper.
Fantastic site in many ways
We had 3 nights here in September and had a wonderful time. The site is large & spacious with a good selection of pitches. The facilities are very good and always clean, as you would expect. There is an exceptionally good play park for the children in the centre of the site. The staff were very helpful and engaging. The location is perfect for walking and cycling in Clumber Park. Phone signals are extremely poor on the site and we had to walk for up to a mile to get a signal. The walk to Hardwick village and then around the Clumber Lake is well worth it with refreshments at the lake edge in Hardwick Village and half way around at the NT visitor centre.
3rd visit to site
We came back from Clumber last weekend and had a lovely relaxing weekend as usual, with some biking thrown in and we will come back again but probably next year now.
No, it isn't the most up to date site, but it is in an amazing setting. Some pitches are in need of upgrading and the toilet blocks are not as up to date as some sites, but nevertheless they are clean and very functional. This does not stop us returning to the site. The food vans on site are a nice touch, albeit a little expensive.
What I am saddened by though, is irresponsible dog owners allowing their pets foul on the road or grass and not picking it up. I read this on a review recently before returning to site and was disappointed to see it myself, first hand. Clearly, from speaking to staff, this is an ongoing problem. It isn't the animals fault but the owners and isn't acceptable by any means. Shame on those people for their laziness and lack of respect towards other users. The staff sorted this out however and removed the dog fowl straight away.
Cannot fault the staff - always friendly and helpful, despite what they have to deal with.

Fabulous location.
A great site for those who want to walk from the door. Despite the size of the site and the popularity of the surrounding area, there's enough space for everyone to find peace and quiet and enjoy the trees and heathland. Facilities were clean and staff clearly trying to maintain a good standard of Covid control. Have booked again already.
Lovely site very helpful warden's but
Just returned from this site staff are lovely an very helpful in these difficult times but some of the members won't obey simple rules that are there for the benefit of every one such as the five mile an hour rule warden's having to remind member's to slow down. Numerous dog's not on leads and dogs Bering encouraged to urinate and foul this lovely site when there are plenty of walk's off the sight despite this we had a lovely time and mostly peaceful

As good as ever!
Yet another wonderful stay at one of our favourite sites. Clumber Park is in a great location and is extremely popular with all age ranges. Walking, cycling and trekking through the wooded landscape with dogs and children is a must. Midweek, it is very quiet through the day and the sound of Tawny Owls can be heard at night. At the weekend, families arrive and the ambience changes with the sound of children's voices enjoying themselves. We have already booked another week for November - can't wait.
Great location within the park, grass pitches need improving
We stayed over a busy weekend but the cycle trails round the park were not too crowded and delightful. The wrist band system for the toilet block is a good idea but since it is not fully observed we were also required to put in a code which was on the back of the barrier card - very likely to be left in the car rather than taken to the block. I was not pleased on leaving the block when a member of an onsite contractor team pushed past me into the block without distancing and leaving no wrist band. As we arrived mid afternoon there were few hardstanding pitches left so we went on to a grass pitch, but soon realised that the grass area outside the caravan had been destroyed by previous occupants using non-breathable awnings. The request to lift awnings daily is not practicable, and non-breathable should be simply treated as unacceptable.

A real gem
Hi,
Had a great few days at Clumber Park. Lovely cycling and walking trails to follow. All safety procedures professionally carried out.
Lovely friendly wardens only two willing to help. The exceptions were the two who walk their dogs on a morning who I found to be really lacking in the expected social skills. Maybe I am too picky.
Will definitely be back as this is a real gem.
P.S. if you have a choice don't park under the oak trees as you will be bombarded with acorns on your roof during the early hours. Squirrels, ah bless!
Great for all.
First time at clumber park and it won't be our last.
Our week was our first following the restrictions being lifted. site was full and buzzing.
Its a busy place with kids riding bikes and scooters so have to be mindful of that while driving around.
WC blocks are well placed but need bringing up to standards.
Access is okay & staff very friendly.
Negative points.
Queues at Shower blocks. We used our own mostly but at times wanted a longer shower. Bands left on hooks when no-one inside.
Phone reception. yep 2020 and no reception. Wifi coped well enough though.
great site first class
