Well worth a visit.

We stayed in early May. It's a big site, but there are lots of green areas and mature trees. The immaculately maintained site was less than half-full and seemed very peaceful. The wardens were very welcoming and helpful. The traffic-free 20-minute walk through the parkland into the old part of Cirencester is a real bonus. The town itself has a great deal to offer with the Corinium Museum being a 'don't miss' feature. I've no idea why the CC system insists on a score for family facilities. We're retired and never notice such things.

First Visit to Cirencester Park

1st visit to Cirencester Park Initially arriving at the site we were greeted by a warden and directed to a place in the queue for check in. We were given comprehensive information and invited to choose a pitch following the route marked on the map. Having looked at the hard standing pitches, noting how close they seemed to be to each other and how crowded the area was with awnings and cars we ventured to the grass areas. This area suited and we pitched our motorhome with relative ease the site being flat. This CCS is one of the largest we have encountered on our stays, we would not want to visit here in the school holidays feeling that it would be over crowded and busy. (A rough calculation could find the site holding in excess of 800 or more people in the height of summer). Then add the dogs as well, this being a very popular choice to come and most owners seeming to have 2 or more per outfit at the time of our visit. The site is in an extensive private estate owned by the Earl of Bathurst and is clearly well cared for and very private. The whole area is beautiful and the walk into Cirencester is a delight, being able to stroll through the peaceful grounds between 8am and 5pm each day. Alternative route is via road outside of these hours or if using a car, cycle or wanting to walk that way instead. (Either way, will take about 30 minutes walking.) We visited this site on our way from the Midlands to the West Country and there is clearly a lot to see and do in the area. The Wardens have a huge task in the up keep of this site as it is large, the 2 facilities blocks are of the usual standard expected, however there was a problem with there not being any flow of water through the showers in the 2nd block during our stay. This was rectified, although water flow remained poor in my opinion. It is likely we shall make a return visit as the site is en route and convenient for our purpose. The fish and chip van called as advertised on Saturday from 5pm, not the best we have tasted but acceptable. Probably wouldn't bother with again. All in all a pleasant trip.

First Timers

Took a chance on this site, very pleased we did. It's quiet, no road noise and within walking distance of the town. Slight amount of building work next door but not intrusive. There are lots of things to do within a short drive, besides exploring Cirencester itself. We picked this site to be nearer to Malvern Flower Show so that I didn't have to drive so far to get there.

As Arnie says - I'll be back!'

First visit to Cirencester site and was much impressed with every aspect of the site. Not fully open just yet as the grass pitches are not ready for full use this early in the season. Cracking location for easy access into Cirencester town centre with its myriad of "eateries' and shops. Happy staff and immaculate facilities! Once the building works are complete on Cirencester College it will return to a tranquil setting I'm sure and and in reality the noise wasn't that bad and happened predominantly during normal working hours!!  Looking forward to the next trip??

A great first experience of a Club site

Having decided to return to caravanning after a 17 year break, we chose Cirencester for our first few nights away in our "new" caravan, as it is relatively close to our present home, and we know "Ciren" well having been born there. What a great way to start! Delightful site, very  welcoming staff, very clean shower block, beautifully kept grounds and in reasonably close proximity to the Town, yet so peaceful and an abundance of bird life. In fact we enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night! The stay was a way of trying out the van's fixtures, and on the 2nd day we experienced an air lock in the water system which I could not resolved at first. However I discovered that in extreme cold (it was!) the inlet pipe will float to surface of the water. Our plight was rescued by a fellow member who donated a spare length of specially cut waste pipe to hold the inlet into to the water tank. We didn't swop names, so whoever you are, thank you so much for rescuing a potential problem.

Another super visit to Cirencester

Just picked up our new motorhome and it's first outing was to Cirencester Park. Great location with a not to far walk into the town it's self. It seems to us the perfect location, clean and tidt, friendly wardens and a pretty market town on your doorstep.  Will we becoming back, for sure.

A Happy Return Again

Just had another great stay at Cirencester, the site always looks and feels great. The only disappointment was the churning up of grass verges by inconsiderate drivers, would they do that to their own front lawns? This time we had our new puppy Alfie with us and found the walks really good. If you want a quieter walk try turning right immediately after passing the cricket club and through the gate into the estate, this walk takes you round and back to the entrance, it is also quite clean. The dog walk on site was very muddy, but that can't be helped as the weather has been very wet. The site never fails to impress, with its close proximity to the town of Cirencester and the transport links from the town centre to almost anywhere, you certainly don't need to use your vehicle. Leave it parked up, chill out and enjoy. We will return again as there is so much to see from this site.

Pretty site

Cirencester park site is one of the prettiest sites in the club's list .there are beautiful walks through the park into cirencester itself which is a lovely town with some old fashioned shops and pubs.there is a herd of rare gloscester cattle to see in the park as well as beautiful bird life.the site is very well run.the wardens are very helpful and friendly.there is a twice weekly visit from a fish and chip van and a pizza van who has gluten free pizzas on their menu.we have visited this site many times from Cambridge and hope to do so for a while yet.

Excellent site but for.....

Entrance to site is via lane along side college and school which gets very congested at by parents cars and children that take no care for passing caravans. Most of the lane is very uneven and full of pot holes.... so take care. The other problem we encountered was due to the only pitches available we where close to the road that led to the dog walking area WHY do dog owners have to let there dogs bark at any and everything on sight especially at 6am in the morning when most people are trying to sleep. We used to be dog owners, its not unreasonable to train your dog to be quiet when it needs to be. On the plus side wardens where realy helpful and the toilet block was immaculate,  and its an easy walk into town
