Very poorly kept site. Poor cleanliness at service points. Grounds and pitches poorly maintained. Second visit of year as we like the the town and the area. The summer visit had 3 sets of Wardens that didn't seem to do much work around site. Wardens on at moment have a lot of work to do for site to be brought back up to club standard. Was surprised on arrival in August to see how empty site was. After reading my review you can see reason why. A very popular site that's let it's standards slip.
Not as expected
We booked 10 nights here but left after 6. If my husband had had his way we would have left after 1 night. The site was poorly maintained with white peg pitches covered in leaves and weeds although the serviced pitch were well maintained. From the back of the toilet block there aren't any paths and my husband stepped in dog mess left by a negligent dog owner.
The bin in the men's toilet was full and never emptied while we were there. The rubbish bins were overflowing by the afternoon but not emptied until the next morning. I only saw one warden walking round the site once but when visiting the office there were 3 or 4 on duty.
The worst site I have ever visited.

Excellent site!
Location is great with easy access to Cirencester Park and the town centre. Being able to leave the motorhome behind was wonderful as we could walk through the park and into the town.
Whilst letting dogs roam in the park was difficult, the site dog walk provide a secure area for them to run free.
Westonbirt Arboretum is in easy driving distance which made for a great day out amidst the amazing autumn colours.
We had only planned to stay two nights but found the area so attractive that we extended our booking.
Overall, we would fully recommend the site and will be returning.
Disappointed
We arrived at Cirencester mid afternoon and had difficulty getting into the site because of cars parked in the narrow road and vehicles leaving. The narrow entry road which I believe is not owned by the club is very poorly maintained.
On site the recently renovated service pitches were well maintained, cleared of leaves with the grass cut around them. The majority of the normal hard standing pitches are very narrow and looked like neglected gravel covered weed beds with long grass around them. Most of the pitches around the perimeter were only visible due to the peg sticking out of the carpet of leaves and weeds The site was busy and the rubbish bins were overflowing and the service points were deep in slippery leaves which were also blocking the waste points. (This was not cleared or cleaned during our six day stay) The cleanliness in the toilet blocks was adequate, with no hand washing soap and were not up to the usual standard we’ve come to expect from club sites. We haven’t visited this site for many years and were very disappointed to find it now appears to be very neglected.
Good for Walking
This site being located in Cirencester Park is ideal if you want to leave the car behind and walk around the beautiful park and also through it into the Town, which takes about 20-30 mins and is all relatively flat. We walked loads over our 4 night stay. We stayed on a service pitch which I believe are all quite new and I couldn't fault it. The site is again kept to an excellent standard of cleanliness. The only downside was that as it was coming to the end of their season, the shop had very little in it and you had to pay cash for any items. And no gas! Luckily our cylinder although showing empty lasted us until the end of our stay. This site is a good base for exploring the Cotswolds, and Cirencester is a lovely town, but we do love the Moreton in Marsh site and also are going to visit Burford site next time to see what that is like.
Brilliant site, shame about the selfish early arrivals.
We loved this site. As usual it was up to an excellent standard. We stayed this time on the service pitches which are ideally placed for the toilet blocks.
The only thing that spoils things are the selfish caravaners who insist on arriving early before 12 o'clock. This site has a narrow, very potholed access road which makes it very awkward for the caravans leaving up to 12 0'clock ( which they are perfectly entitled to) to negotiate the access road with selfish caravaners trying to get in as early as 1130. We had a very similar situation at the Wirral Country park a few years ago. Because we were going to be early I pulled into the services to time my arrival after 12. When we arrived at 1215 there was no queue in the tight lane, so I asked the warden. Apparently it had been chaos from 11am with the lane being blocked, so they had let all the early arrivals on to clear the blockage. We ended up with two pitches to choose from!
The club can make the rules but it's up to members to do the decent thing and abide by them!
Rant over.

Small pitches
Enjoyed our recent stay here (21 nights), however the pitches are not up to normal CAMC standard. Most pitches on this site would be classed as non awning pitches on other sites. They are narrow, caravan & awning ok but not really long enough to squeeze the car in front of your pitch if you have a long twin axle.
It is a very shaded site.
I understand previous comments now about walking across other people’s pitches. The path from the back of the shower block just stops after 10 slabs and you then have no other option.
Also to use the chemical point near our pitching area you had to weave through the pitches and trees !
The WiFi was slow and I believe is only bronze level.
The TV signal (from the bollard) over the last few days kept dropping out.
The approach road has appalling pot holes but I do accept this is a private road. There are also scruffy rundown buildings along the road.
It is a busy area during peak college times and not fun if you meet another vehicle !
Cirencester is a lovely town and a very easy 10 minute walk.
The Park and estate are fantastic for dog walking. The sites own dog exercise field is excellent.
The oven fired Pizza van on Thursdays is excellent food.
The toilets are cleaned during the afternoon which is fantastic and should be a must for all sites.
Best of all is this site still sells newspapers, the only site we’ve had this option on in the network this season.
Would I stay again ........... quite possibly but I wouldn’t rush back
Excellent site
We had a 4 night break here after the site being recommended by friends and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Access to the site was easy and the welcome was warm and friendly.
The serviced pitch we were on was level and plenty large enough.
The wardens were all friendly and happy to help where they could.
The only “iffy” thoughts I had was whilst on the private road to the site, which also serves the college there were a couple of ramshackled single story wooden construction buildings that made me wonder what we were going to find on site. The buildings appear to be owned by the college and ought to be demolished - nothing to do with the CAMC.
The site itself was well maintained and tidy. The toilet and amenities block was spotless and the cleaning times for the toilets/showers were spot on, early afternoon.
There was an easy walk into Cirencester via the Bathurst Estate and not only are human visitors welcome, as they are potentially spending but our four legged friends are more than welcomed also. There are numerous eating houses, pubs, cafe’s etc. in the town and the area is racked with history. There are alleyways all over with shops or restaurants tucked away that are are delight. We had a pub lunch at the Golden Cross - the pies are scrumptious. Later n the week we ate at the Plazza Fontana Italian restaurant and the food and service was excellent.
All we can say is, what an excellent place to visit.
There is a nice sense of community which makes the site a very pleasant place to stay.
Our second visit to Cirencester. The Site was very nearly full and yet it never seemed crowded. The pitches are very carefully arranged to give privacy. There is a nice sense of community which makes the site a very pleasant place to stay.
Cirencester is a beautiful town with plenty of places to eat and drink. It was a bit obvious, but we enjoyed time in Cirencester Park. The walking and scenery was lovely, even saw some Polo practice! We have to agree with other members, this is an excellent site and well worth an extended visit.
An exceptional club site
We have just enjoyed 7 days on one of the new'ish serviced pitches. We arrived to a wonderfully warm and friendly welcome which was complimented by week's worth of sunshine in one of the nicest locations in the entire network. The site is meticulously maintained by site managers and assistants who clearly go the extra mile to provide a great experience for all their visitors. In summary, a highly recommended site which will not disappoint on any level. Thanks guys ...
