We used to live in the area so try and come here every year to catch up with friends. Once again we had a fantastic stay and have booked again for next year extending our visit by a couple of extra nights. The location of this site is ideal for us with the dog, with access to Cirencester park. Don’t be put off by the park closing to the public at 5pm there are plenty of walks from the site without having to go into the park. The walk through the park into Cirencester is delightful and the museum is well worth a visit. The site itself is very pleasant and well laid out, and although the largest site we have stayed on in terms of number of pitches it doesn’t feel crowded. The toilet blocks are kept clean and tidy and are closed at a sensible time (2 till 3pm) for cleaning, so there isn’t the mad rush to use them in the morning. The wardens were very pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.
Dog's dream holiday 4 dogs in a motorhome
Cannot fault the staff on this site at all even though there was a catastrophe with the electric they were still there smiling and doing the upmost to assist campers. Mike Williams special note for being such a cracking fella. We have 4 dogs and this site is by far the best dog walking site ever, the dog walk on site is good but when you walk through the nearby estate or the walk to monument you can walk for miles in beautiful countryside with your dogs free. Sunday lunch in the Twelve Bells is superb got beer from its on micro brewery and the lunch is home cooked no frozen food here We will be defiantly visiting again the site and the pub if course.
Cut short Visit
We had planned to stay at Cirencester for three nights en route back from Somerset. Unfortunately I was not well and we had to cut our visit short by two days. Thanks to the wardens for their understanding. We booked one of the new serviced pitches which I understand have recently been added to the site. They were of a good size but my concern, as a motorhomer, was the degree of slope on the pitch we used. Rightly or wrongly I imagine that a hardstanding pitch should be reasonably level? It was good to see the open grill motorhome waste point. I must remind myself to look more carefully at the site plan in future to avoid going all round the site to get to it!!!
One of the best sites in the UK, and lovely wardens to greet you :)
We recently stayed on this site for 4 nights, this was our 4th visit because it has the best wardens, large pitches with a lot of space around most of them, squeaky clean facilities, and all right next to a lovely park leading to the pretty old town of Cirencester where there is lots to see and do. We will be returning again this year - can't recommend enough.
An excellent site in every way
Stayed just for one night, wish it had been longer. Large pitches with a lot of space around most of them. Squeaky clean facilities, brilliant friendly wardens and all right next to a lovely park leading to the pretty old town of Cirencester.
Lots to see in the town, highly recommend the Roman museum and the French style bistro ‘Côte Brasserie’, one of the very best we have found in the UK who offer an excellent early evening discounted menu.
Managed our first park run on the Saturday morning before departure which capped our visit off. Would return in a heartbeat, for longer next time.
Last minute fabulous find
We booked this site at the last minute for the Easter break as the weather forecast was so good. We thought that because they had availabilty, it might not be that great but the reviews were good, we went ahead and booked and I am so glad we did. What a lovely site. Nice big pitches, well laid out to give you privacy, very well maintained, nice toilet blocks and very friendly, helpful staff.
Despite being very busy, it was still peaceful, if I was being picky, the only small thing was you could hear the motorbikes in the distance who were out over the bank holiday period. Nothing the site can do about this though.
It is absolute heaven for dogs. I would say that at least half of the pitches had at least one dog, including us. There is a lovely dog walk on site and the land and Cirencester Park which adjoin the site are dog friendly.
It is only a 15/20 minute walk into the lovely town of Cirencester, with it’s beautiful period buildings, nice cafe’s, shops and restaurants.
Only problem was we weren’t there long enough to go and see all the things we wanted to.
I guess we will just have to return another time.
Excellent Site.
Stopped at this site for 4 nights. Great helpful Wardens who kept the site lovely and clean.
Cirencester is a great location for walking into Cirencester or through Bathurst Park.
Whilst there we cycled to the Cotswold Waterpark on a bitterly cold day! Some of the route involved a short stretch of a busy main road. Suitable for confident cyclists.
Tesco Extra is suitable for Motorhomers as it has a big car park. Waitrose is closer accessible through the underpass and about 500m but parking for Motorhomers could be difficult at busy times.
We will definitely return and explore the area.

Lovely site
The site itself is lovely. The washing facilities were excellent. Our fully serviced pitch was excellent. The dog field is large and secure. The staff are friendly. The only negative is access to the site, along a long lane which is not really wide enough for 2 vehicles and is full of pot holes on top of that on a college/working day it is full of vans and cars so not easy to negotiate.
Excellent first experience of a Club Site
Stayed here for 7 nights in mid July. Having arrived later on a Saturday afternoon after a long drive we didn't have a choice of pitch, as there was only one serviced pitch left. It was right next door to the toilet block. Lots of pitches came available the following morning, but we had our awning up by then so decided to stay put. There is little privacy on this particular pitch as the path to the gents runs down the side of the awning and it's a little lacking in the green space to divide the pitch from the facilities. But plenty of grass behind the pitch to set up the table and chairs on and trees further back for shade, however we still had a few people who would cut through our space shortcutting between our table and our caravan - even whilst we were eating! This was the only downside though, as the site is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My little girl enjoyed the play park and the dog walk is fantastic - large and fully enclosed. The toilet block was immaculate and the toddler bathroom was such a plus point for us, making the bedtime routine with a little one so much easier. A lovely walk through Cirencester Park into the town and lots to see and do locally. All in all a great experience and the best holiday we had last year.
A great place
We've stayed here three times now, twice only as a stop-over, but a recent stay was a bit longer.
The site is spacious, well landscaped and laid out. All the facility blocks are up to the usual club standard and as always spotless. The site is on the edge of parkland giving a wonderful area to roam in. It's also possible to walk through the park into Cirencester itself between 0800 and 1700.
Cirencester itself is worth exploring.
Access to the site is shared by the local sixth form college so try to avoid arriving during school leaving times!
Enjoy your stay there: we did!
