A great place

We've stayed here three times now, twice only as a stop-over, but a recent stay was a bit longer. The site is spacious, well landscaped and laid out. All the facility blocks are up to the usual club standard and as always spotless. The site is on the edge of parkland giving a wonderful area to roam in. It's also possible to walk through the park into Cirencester itself between 0800 and 1700. Cirencester itself is worth exploring. Access to the site is shared by the local sixth form college so try to avoid arriving during school leaving times! Enjoy your stay there: we did!

Greta site for all

This is a great site for exploring or just chilling out. Dogs love the big dog walk area as well as the walk into the town centre. You have a choice of grass or hardstandings on a very large site. There is something for everyone. Big request please, could you put some benches/picnic benches in the dog walk paddock. you see lots of people talking and mingling, be good to have somewhere to rest whilst the dogs enjoy themselves.

New Year visit

Stayed here over New Year while visiting relatives having managed to secure a last minute booking. Facilities always clean and warm - having stayed here in the summer before it was good to have plenty of hot water and heating in the showers. Wish it was open all year as it's an easy walk into Cirencester through the park and would be peaceful. Sadly we were kept awake till 4 am with next door neighbours partying - not ideal when you are in a campervan with a poptop! We will probably visit again but not at New Year!

Fantastic Christmas & New Year Stay

We stayed over Christmas and New Year at this lovely location and had a fantastic time. Firstly, Assistant Wardens Darren & Sam were outstanding, they must be one of the best couples the club have on the team. Access & egress to the site has always caused problems here but the college next door were on holiday during our stay so it was not too bad. Facilities were very good and kept spotlessly clean. The site itself require some TLC, many of the pitches are very poor and overgrown. The majority of pitches are very narrow, so with an awning/canopy the car has to park accross the front. Also, some of the pitches slope to such a degree a large single axle caravan will have trouble levelling - a twin axle or motorhome would be impossible. We were shocked to find one of the new fully serviced hardstanding pitches sloping that much we could not level our twin axle safely and had to move. When this site is refurbished it will be one of the best in the Cotswolds.

Best Wardens Ever!

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay on this site for NYE 18/19. Such happy and friendly welcome (We are not used to that at CMC sites) nothing was too much trouble. Always an Hello! and How are you! every time you saw someone was nice to be asked if everything is ok? Really goo customer relations. Everything was clean the toilets very clean and always ready on time. We was part of a group for NYE and everyone commented on how good the wardens are here and its a shame they can not be like this on other sites. Well done! Made our stay an enjoyable one.

Excellent

This is our second visit to this site within a month, the first just a few days so we returned for ten days. The site itself is clean and well managed by wardens that are very friendly & helpful. There is a lovely walk through the park into Cirencester which is very dog friendly. We still haven't seen everything In the area so plan to return next year. It was fabulous to visit stow-on-the -wolds at Christmas

Great location shame about the shower

We had a nice stay here for my birthday celebrations which coincided with the Cirencester Christmas Market. We stayed for 3 nights and had a pitch close to the facilities which was nice and level. The site is easily located close to Cirencester and is a pleasant walk through Cirencester Park although the direction isn't signposted. We had to ask but it would be good if it was signposted. Now onto the only issue we had and that was with the shower block and specifically the lack of hot water on our second morning. For starters, although the facilities are clean and warm, the ladies (I cannot comment on the men's) had a smell of drains which is a little unpleasant. Then on our second morning, there was no hot water and although I cannot confirm it categorically, I didn't see anything on the door when I entered to say there was a problem although there was a sign up later when I went back. They had clearly run out of fuel as a tanker appeared a little later. As the site was fairly busy, you would have thought that they would have made sure they had sufficient fuel to maintain the water temperature!

Disappointed

Disappointed that most of the pitches around the toilet block have been made into full serviced pitches. It appears that the Caravan Club is becoming a bit exclusive and going back 30 years to when we first started caravanning. Seriously considering not renewing my membership after 18 years membership
