This is a lovely, treed, level site. Close to the town centre but in the middle of a gorgeous huge park. You can walk to cafes and restaurants, galleries, museum (which is excellent) lovely individual shops and the market. You are also well placed for touring around the beautified Cotswolds! The site itself is well serviced with really good, clean amenities and dogs are well catered for. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
Local Produce.
We love this site and have stayed several times. Its location within easy walking distance of the town through open fields and gardens make this site a great weekend break for us. We always start with a visit to Butts farm for some of their wonderful bacon and rare breed meat. In town there are two more butchers and a wonderful green grocers called Market garden, it makes a real treat to be able to walk from site and get fresh local produce. The site is well set out and is kept to the usual high club standards with a very generous and secure dog walking area. We will be back again soon.
A Delightful Stay
Staying here was a last minute change of plan, that worked out very well indeed. A beautiful site very well located for all major roads. Access is fine, just need to go slowly. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The site was beautifully kept and, has the added advantage of being able to walk into Cirencester, which is a lovely town. The site is situated next to a country park estate which is open to the public until 5pm.
Half term
This site is easy to reach - the last part of the entrance can be tricky with pot holes the size of craters but you can steer round these. The welcome is very good and the warden took the time to show the available pitches so we could head in the right direction. Pitches very god and spacious and the facilities very clean. Roads on site are narrow and it is important to follow the indicated directions although this did not always happen along with the 5 mph rule! The site is very peaceful. The town is a short and easy walk from the site about 15 mins through the park, with a good selection of shops but did not find any restaurant to recommend. Outdoor swimming pool is a must, along with the museum and the sweet shop 2 doors down. Wardens were excellent - liked a joke and made time for a brief chat, facilities kept spotless and in good order. The negative things are not with the site or wardens but with members, such as cutting through pitches instead of following paths, noisy dogs and leaving facilities dirty after use. This does not reflect on the site but on the manners of those using it.
Lovely Site.
This a great site for both Caravaners and Motor-homers
Lots to see and do in the area.
Excellent wardens always cheerful and helpful.
Will be back !

Lovely site
Visited this lovely well maintained site recently. The wardens work very hard to keep everything in tip top condition. On this occasion the site was extremely busy, not a problem with that at all.
Our problem is with dogs, well not dogs but some owners. We contacted head office recently with a complaint about dogs wee-ing on our awning on at least 3 occasions over the last 12 months. We said that we believe that the main problem causing this to happen is the extendable leads used these days, that allow dogs far more freedom to roam onto members pitches. The reply we had back was that all dog owners are given a leaflet on arrival explaining that “dogs must be on a lead less than 2 meters long whilst being walked around the site”
Well I can honestly say that this is not happening as many dog owners do allow their dogs far more freedom (not all, as some are kept well under control). We saw many dogs being allowed to roam anything up to 6 to 8 meters away from their owners. In fact on this occasion one gentleman never had his dog on a lead at all, he allowed the dog just to follow him around the site freely day after day.
Also on this occasion a member arrived on site and whilst they were pitching their caravan and awning their dog was running around the site barking at everyone, even entering the children’s play area where dogs are banned for obvious reasons.
I did go the reception to report this, the warden said that they would attend to the problem, but whether they spoke to the member or not I don’t know, but over an hour later the dog was still being allowed to roam around the site unattended.
Can anyone tell me how this problem can be resolved.

Really lovely!
Our first visit to Cirencester but not the last! This is a lovely site in a very picturesque part of the Cotswolds and as such is very peaceful, with the opportunity to visit the historical town. The site is well laid out and the wardens were super! Spotless toilet blocks so can't fault the site in any way. Town is in walking distance through the tree lined park. There are lovely shops in the town and it's got a good sized supermarket 5 minutes walk from centre.
Should you decide to walk but need transport back (it's a bit uphill) the taxi service A2B took us to the site for only £3.10 which I think is cheaper than trying to park in the town. A word of caution, the parking attendants are very keen in the town so park with care. They are everywhere!
Other than that it was a fabulous few days and we look forward to our next visit soon.
Recommended....I definitely think so!
Beautiful, peaceful site
First impressions (in reception) were a lovely warm greeting.
Next impression was of a very large site but once pitched up we realised that it was so much more peaceful than we would have expected - even for the start of a half-term holiday.
Excellent, spotless facilities.
We only had two nights there and had planned to walk through the park into Cirencester but decided to go the Tall Ships Festival in Gloucester instead as it only comes round once every two years. So it looks as though a return trip will be on the cards at some point!

First visit.
This site was recommended to us and we had a wonderful midweek 3 nights, a good pitch and a daily stroll into town across the estate walks. Top class wardens gave us a warm and friendly welcome, the site was spotless and the facilities likewise. Thank you for an ideal stay.
New Wardens
Had another good stay at Cirencester. The new wardens are doing a geat job, and are all friendly and helpful. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a quiet holiday in a rural setting, but with plenty to do and see within easy range, as well as nice walks from the site. Downside of Cirencester is the cost of eating out - although comparable to prices in other resort locations, the food served generally does not reflect the availability of local produce well cooked. This is, of course, no fault of the CMC!
We will certainly be using the site regularly in the future.
