Have used this sight many times over the years for both long and short stays, this time for two nights on our way to Porthmadog, north Wales Site is always fresh and clean with a friendly welcome and well placed for visiting the many things and places of interest in this area.
Had a 2 night stay with a young family and dogs. This is a lovely site and very close to a choice of pubs and the shopping outlet. We have stayed here before and were impressed but the toilet block is even better now.
Safe environment for the kids to play on bikes and a lovely play area in the middle.
Definitely a favourite
Just spent a fantastic 4 nights at this lovely site. This is our 4th time here and it keeps getting better. The shower block has recently been refurbished and at last the shower heads are suitable for people taller that 5'4". Great location and great shops. Saving for next year.
Stayed at Chester Fair Oaks for 9 nights and still didn't get to do everything we wanted to - loads to do with young family. Excellent site which has recently been upgraded. Flat site which is good for kids on bikes.
If you have a young family then I have two tips: the blue planet aquarium is very expensive for the time you are in there. Look up the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm for a reasonably priced day out (13 miles away).
This site is great and I would highly recommend it.
We live on the wirral and found it an ideal way to spend a couple of nights just relaxing at the site and going shopping at cheshire oaks or into chester city. The recent upgrade to toilet block is excellent.
One of our favourite sites. A typical club site laid out on a flat grassy area without being regimented. Easy to reach and as usual well run with most pitches being hard standing and a good size. The pitches are not all in regimented rows which suits us. Easy to get bus into Chester or Liverpool and huge Designer Outlet Centre very convenient but the savings there can be costly if you are not careful. There was some background noise from what we assume was a factory although we never saw it and the roads but not severe. For children there is a playground hidden in the trees. The site is very busy though so staying after 12.00 is not usually possible.
This site is one of our favourites and the recent upgrade to the toilet block and play area are fantastic. For those planning a day in Chester there is a park and ride at the Zoo, 10 mins from the site. Parking is free and £2 per adult (up to two under 16's free per adult) return on the bus. There are a few spaces for motorhomes. For a treat try Hickory's American diner down by the river.Last bus back to zoo is about 7.0pm.
We stayed at Fairoaks in at the end of July 2015, this is a very nice site, staff are very friendly and helpful, but also leave you to it which is great, very peaceful site, I liked the fact you were able to pick which pitch you wanted found this to be really good. The shower and toliet blocks are excellent and very clean and tidy at all times, the other facilities on site are also excellent and kept very clean and tidy. I did think that the site was in walking distance to Chester City, but it is a bit out, however you can walk to Chessire Oaks Outlet which is about 10 to 15 mins alot a shops here and the supermarket which was handy, there are excellent bus services from here into Chester, Chester Zoo and Liverpool, the buses are around every 15 mins and run late into the evening so no problems at all. I would recommend this site to all visitors we had no issues with the site at all.
We have just returned from our stay at Chester fairoaks and I must say this is site is great it's spotless and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful the shower blocks are 100% brilliant and spotlessly clean. We will be returning again in the near future.
