Excellent Value but..

This is a well organised and pleasant site. Unfortunately at the time of our visit (11-20 June 2019) the whole area was suffering from prolonged heavy rain. This resulted in some grass pitches being unavailable. However the wardens coped well with the situation and spread cheer and goodwill. Super site, with plenty to do locally. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not regret it.

A lovely site with a friendly smile

The team at Chester Fairoaks should be applauded. From Check-in, to facilities and the overall look and feel of the site is excellent - such friendly and welcoming Wardens. The site is beautifully maintained with an attention to detail - flower arrangements and perfectly maintained pitches. Fabulous site in a great location and we can’t wait to go back.

High Standards Despite the Weather!!

We have recently returned from three nights at Chester Fairoaks, during one of the wettest June weeks on record, as a result of which, our stay was cut short, due to problems at home - but we will definitely return!!! The site is excellently located to explore the surrounding area - the area lends itself to those wishing to shop 'til they drop, with both The Coliseum Shopping Park and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet in close proximity and ideal for wet days!!! We visited Liverpool using the X8 bus from Cheshire Oaks - very easy and a regular service until early evening. The site itself is run by an excellent team of wardens for whom nothing is too much trouble - whilst we were there they were fighting a losing battle against the standing water and having to put pitches out of service, but still offered us a drying point for our awning and maintained the high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the toilet block (one of the best we've seen!!!) and around the site - Thank-you!!

Lovely Site

Such a pretty site and even better when the sun is shining. Wardens work really hard keeping the site so smart and still have time to be super pleasant. Toilet block is very modern and so clean, again the wardens working hard. I expected to find it had just been updated but I was told it was back in 2015, their hard work shows everywhere. You do get a bit of motorway road noise, but the feel of the site is so peaceful and coming from near the M25 it didn't affect us at all. Sainsbury's is just down the road next to a Designer Outlet & Retail Park, not the place to be at the weekend but brilliant midweek. Lot to see and do in the area, a trip up to Liverpool and over to Sunlight Village a must.

Oasis of calm amongst the hubbub.

If you are looking for a getting away from it all site then this isn't the spot for you. However we found the contrast between the busyness all around and the relative quiet of the site a real pleasure. Yes there is a constant distant hum of the motorways but nothing that detracted from the pleasure of the plentiful birdsong, wind in trees, view of grassy meadows etc. And certainly didn't effect our sleep! The positive of the road noise is it is easy to get to lots of places in the area - Wirral Peninsula, Chester, Delemere Forest and Liverpool all in very easy reach - via the "Ferry Cross the Mersey" of course! Walks on the Sandstone ridge satisfied our need for some hills albeit more sedate than our usual Lakes and Peaks. Cheshire Oaks on your doorstep if you have the shopping bug with also all the familiar eating places for those with kids. The site and facilities were immaculately maintained with hurrah, radio in the amenity block always a favourite for us. Finally a free to roam fenced grassy dog run was a particular boon for our 2 yr old untireable springer!

Very satisfactory

This is an excellent site to stay on when visiting Chester Zoo (only 3 miles away). All facilities spotless and very cheerful and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

very well maintained campsite

English: We spent two nights on this campsite. We were welcomed very friendly. Since we have toilet and shower on board, we did not need to take these things from the campsite. But we took a look at the local conditions. I have to say that I have never seen such a clean toilet facility before. Also the entire place was very thoroughly maintained. Our visit to Chester (very well-kept town) and its surroundings inspired us to go there for a longer time in autumn. Birgit & Detlef Loeffelholz, Germany

inconsiderate campers

me and the wife have just spent 11 nights at this superb site and the wardens were as usual just great nothing too much trouble my only gripe is the amount of inconsiderate campers cutting across other peoples pitches these days we saw people with crutches walking on the roads and footpaths going to the toilets or where ever and able bodied people not giving a damm and walking over anybodies pitches come on people keep off other peoples pitches and get fit and walk the extra yards and show some consideration to peoples privacy thanks

Good location

Visited this lovely site for one night last October, but we have only recently started writing reviews since joining the club nearly a year ago! We had a lovely time, our first club site since joining. The wardens were very helpful . Everywhere was clean and tidy and all the pitches were good. We stayed one night, but definitely need to come back ! Need to stay for more than one night as its location is ideal! Walking distance of Cheshire Oaks, 20 mins or so to Chester, Wirral country park 1/2 hr drive.

Good as ever

We use the site regularly and have no complaints. We were greeted by name, as the number plate can be read from the office and they typed in this to confirm who we were. Makes for a nice start. The site is flat pleasantly laid out and in very good condition with excellent wardens. We had no children with us but know there is a decent play area for them. Good for the shopping outlet centre and the city and touring in general. There is some road noise but not enough to bother us. A great site but it can be busy so book early.
