What a location

The wardens were most accommodating about our delayed arrival. Facilities were immaculate, the staff have no control over the fact that surface water can only drain off slowly due to the site being very flat. Good eating places in nearby Baslow. Calton Lees Garden Centre is a good morning riverside stroll across the park with cafe too. There's super produce at the Chatsworth Farm Shop. Loads of choice either for traditional cooking, bbq in season or microwave. Mmmmmm.

Love It!!

Absolutely love this camp site, its the perfect location, in the grounds of chatsworth, the site is beautiful and cared for, very clean, toilets are always looked after, the staff are very helpful, pitches are a really good size, easy to get to, narrow lane so its has certain arrival and leaving times, tight bridge to drive over but take it slow and its fine, cant wait to go back again for a weekend as we only live 20min away, Perfect.

Christmas Market at Chatsworth

Stayed here the last weekend of November. The site is very good. Well set out, roomy pitches, clean, friendly well-informed staff. It's in a great location virtually within the grounds of Chatsworth. The Chatsworth Christmas market was lovely, but not as big as others we have been to so couldn't find enough to do for more than a couple of hours. It was very festive though and put us in the Christmas mood. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball. It rained the entire time we were there. It didn't spoil the visit though. We intend to be back in the spring.

Christmas market visit

We are regulars to this fab site and this year visited the Christmas market up at the house, both house and market were lovely and festive.Site was spotless as always ,our pitch was on a gravel area and nice and dry despite a night of heavy rain, helpful, polite wardens and the lardy cake for sale in reception is highly recommended .Looking forward to returning  back in the spring.

Location, location, location

What a great welcome to a great site. The wardens were fantastic and a credit to the Club. My wife an I enjoyed the short walk to the Christmas market - on the way there we encountered sheep & Red Deer! We also boarded the free shuttle bus from the market to the Chatsworth Farm Shop a mile and a half away - well worth a visit. We will most certainly visit this site again, maybe at a different time of year.

Our second visit to Chasworth

We live in Derbyshire and love our Chatsworth Jewel. The camp site is quiet and handy for the short walk to the House and Gardens. The only problem we had was the Motorhome Service Point has the greywater grids at the front of the service area. Parking here therefore requires the front wheels to stop on the adjacent pitch, but fortunately the caravan owner took the initiative to park his car on the other side of his van. On our previous visit, the caravan owner was not so accommodating and was quite vexed. Nevertheless, this is a very lovely site and we expect to visit often.

A very busy site

My wife and I have just spent a few days on the Chatsworth site. We have stayed several time in the past and this stay was just as good as the previous ones. I can highly reccomend this very busy site, simply because of its location. Chatswoth house is within walking distance, and many other attractions of the local area are just a short walk or drive away, depending on ability. The site facilities are of the usual high standard that the Caravan Club sets.

Fantastic !

We have stayed at Chatsworth on several occasions and at different times of the year. As alway our recent visit was fantastic and with the added attraction of the Christmas Fayre it was even better.
