Happy campers!

We had a super pitch and really appreciated the convenience as the rain lashed down and the wind whipped through the trees. We cannot fault the site and the friendliness of the local bird population was a delight.   Neighbours had dressed their caravans in fairy lights and Christmas trees which made for a very happy and festive feel.  We visited the house and market one day and spent the rest of our stay in and around the Staffordshire Moorlands where we lived for many years.  We intend to return to the site in the spring (if a super pitch is free).

Chatsworth Park in adverse weather.

After trying for 2 years to find a week when a Super pitch was available, we eventually found an available week in November. Our impressions are that it is one of the best Club sites we have visited and we are not surprised it is so popular. The access to the park was a dog walkers paradise, and a short walk takes you into Baslow, with its pubs , sandwich shop and cafes and not forgetting the Spar shop which doubles as the Post Office. The Chatsworth estate farm shop (a short drive) offered excellent food, meat vegetables and confectionary at reasonable prices. The popular Christmas market on the estate was worth a visit, unfortunately on the day of our departure it was cancelled due to "adverse" weather conditions. Unfortunately the strong winds and heavy rain was an unwelcome feature of our weeks stay. However, we are determined to visit again when the weather should be better!

GREAT LOCATION

I have been to this site on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The location for Chatsworth House and park is second to none. The site is up to the usual high standard you expect from a C.C. Site. On this visit we were on the pitch right by the footpath to the park which was probably not the best decision due to the constant flow of pedestrian traffic to the park. Whilst we were there it rained heavily and the awning flooded, but to be honest it only seemed to cause a problem to our pitch. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely site

Always a pleasure to stay on this site. Would be helpful if the pitch numbers were placed at the front of the pitches as the numbering is very small. Visited the christmas market and christmas lights at Chatsworth and enjoyed the lovely parkland walks. The serviced pitches were convenient and the wardens very helpful and friendly.

Chatsworth Caravan Club site

It is always a treat to stay at Chatsworth no matter what the weather is like or what season it may be. There are numerous walks from the site, or if you fancy a period of shopping, then Bakewell, Ashbourne and the huge Meadowhall Shopping Centre are all within a reasonable distance away. The area never fails to surprise us, and for a short ride you can be in the middle of the Peak District where you have a choice of innumerable and varying walks.

Good location with great walks

This is a great location if you like walking. With access to the estate there is plenty of choice. My only drawback is the lack of areas where dogs can be let off a lead for a run. The house is very close and sets a wonderful scene. Clean facilities (only one shower/toilet block however so timing is essential). Good for a couple of days en-route to or from other areas within the Peak District.

Great Place

Fantastic place & location, excellent meal in Devonshire Arms in Baslow, very clean & well maintained site, a credit to the wardens, fantastic wild life in the park & Chatsworth grounds. Great to see the Stags rutting. I would also like to thank the lady warden (sorry don't know her name) for the help & fantastic service we received regarding Green Flag & the gas bottle she certainly made our holiday, thanks again.

A lovely peaceful site.

This is a lovely peaceful site with super walking opportunities on the chatsworth grounds and we just missed the Christmas decorations going up. The site has little for children but as long as they like the outdoors they have the chatsworth estate to play on.

Worth a return visit

Just spent 5 days here and loved it. Great site, so much to do and Baslow within easy walking distance even on a dark foggy night. Loved the pheasants and ducks parading around the site and the deer grazing in the parkland. We would love to visit again provided we can get booked as I imagine it must be very popular.

Very pleasant.

We arrived on Monday 2nd November for 3 nights. no problems checking in (we were told that 78 vans checked in the day before and there had been something of a queue)! Found a delightful pitch. The toilets & showers were absolutely spotless and a credit to the hard working wardens. The site is very pleasant, well located and lots of things to do and places to visit. We went on a couple of nice walks and dodged the showers. Didn't go to the Chatsworth House as we had been a few times before but we visited the Farm Shop (10% discount to members using the Chatsworth site)and thoroughly enjoyed the proceeds of our visit! Very popular site and we have found difficulty in booking quite often but we were lucky this time.
