Fantastic

We had a long weekend at Chatsworth and we loved every minute of it. The facilities are immaculate and the whole site is kept to a supurb standard. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a nice walk through the estate (approx 20 mins) into Baslow and had a lovely meal at the Wheatsheif pub. This time we stayed on a super serviced pitch, loads of room and it was "super".... Water, waste, TV point and even our own toilet disposal point at the back of the pitch. Absolutely fantastic site.

Excellent

Thank you Caravan Club for an excellent few days at Chatsworth Park Caravan Club site, the surroundings with the early morning walks through the estate are to be remembered, Toilet block spotless, well done to the wardens, even enjoyed the ducks knocking on the caravan door for breakfast. Only minor criticism the post code on the e-mail conformation sends you into the car park of Chatsworth House when following Sat Nav. However looking forward to our next visit.

Super site

What a lovely surprise to be given a key which allows private access onto the Chatsworth estate & grounds, wonderful. This was only matched by the help given to us by the warden when we had a problem with one of our stabilisers..thank you for the support & help in getting us on our way. Site was clean & well maintained. We will return again in the spring.

a weekend in Derbyshire

Lovely location, spotless facilities and great wardens with the exception of the female automaton on reception on Friday night. The site is plainly a money spinner for the club due to the location, this I feel has lead to the cynical 'sardine' packing of the pitches into the space available.  The hot water in the shower blocks was scarce and the only way to gain heat was to reduce flow and attempt to flatten oneself against the tiles to get wet. Not the most auspicious weekend on a club site I have to say.

stunning scenery

Chatsworth is well worth a visit if you are a keen walker or cyclist. Lots of areas to go at. The nearest town for supplies is Bakewell, a lovely place with plenty of places to eat, however a long walk if you don't want to move your motorhome. Site is clean and well looked after, plenty of ducks wandering about which kept our cats occupied watching them. My only gripe with the site is that it is virtually impossible to book a full week here as weekends seem to get booked up at the start of the booking season. We turned up on spec as weather looked nice, athough temperatures in the minus, 24.02 16 to be told they were fully booked at the weekend already. I'm not that organised and don't book places so far in advance, prefer to see what the weather is doing. I do wonder what the late cancellation rate is or how many of the people who book so far in advance do not turn up.

Cold but it is February!

We stayed here last week for 2 nights with our motorhome. The pitches are wide and well spaced. I was slightly alarmed at seeing caravan awnings with deck chairs but maybe I am going soft at minus 2..! Showers and loos are as ever, the standard others fail to reach..toastie warm and clean as a a pin. Sadly the deer were in stealth mode however we has pheasants, a large gang of roving ducks so bring suitable food and plenty of it..think 30 plus diners. Robins, blue tits..you name it. Quite lovely really enjoyed our stay.
