Surprisingly peaceful

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way home from touring Yorkshire. It was a good site at which to decompress. We chose a fully-serviced pitch, and were impressed with the size of the pitches. The facilities were as expected from a club site: one toilet/shower block had been refurbished, but the other looked a little 'tired' in comparison. There were plenty of bins, with limited recycling - it would be good to have glass recycling available. The site is surprisingly peaceful given its location close to a major city and main roads. The site is well located, and feels quite rural. Whilst the roads are not very walker-friendly, there are plenty of footpaths through the fields (use an OS map).

As good as ever

Our third visit and still happy. The staff greet you and are helpful as ever. This is a very large flat site well spread out and so creates a feeling of space and even in August seemed to have plenty of room and is just outside built up areas. Great for visiting Birmingham, Stratford and Warwick amongst other places, as well as for stopovers if travelling longer distances North or South as very close to motorways, but far enough away for noise not to be a problem..

A Midlands Gem !

This is a brilliant site. Its location close to Birmingham and the motorways is ideal for access and places of interest but don't let this make you think it's noisy or impacted by the big city. Instead it's much more like being in Shakespeare's rural Warwickshire! We've stayed here at least half a dozen times. For us we had a special reason, the site is 10 minutes away from our elderly parents and staying here gave us the perfect compromise of being able to look out for them whilst having our own space and not getting under their feet. But whatever your reason for staying you won't be disappointed. Our only advice, if this is just a stopover for you, change your plans and stay an extra day or two. .

Super Stopover

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Devon to Lincolnshire. It’s only 5 mins off the motorway and we decided to go first to the Aldi in Druids Heath, 5 mins the other side of the campsite, to stock up for a BBQ. The check in was speedy and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our pitch was hard standing right next to the toilet block but very quiet. Before dinner we went for a walk and found a public footpath the other side of the church which took us round the golf course and through a picturesque wood. Even though we were only 5 mins from the motorway, it felt as though we were in deep countryside! As keen golfers we were impressed with the two golf courses right on the doorstep. This site will be on our favourites list for stopovers and next time we’ll book a t time!

Site in excellent location

Stayed here for 3 nights and surprised how rural and countrified it is, despite being close to Birmingham and the M42 when viewed on the map. Cleanliness and site layout up to C&MC site high standards. Staff very friendly. perfectly located to go to so many attractions, Black Country Museum, Back to Back museum. Shakespeare country etc etc. Also a few minutes away is a farm shop that sells everything and the restaurant there is excellent. Pleasant dog walks. All in all a very pleasant stay and we will visit again.

Another Enjoyable Site

Used as a stopover 1 night going to Littlehampton Site and 3 nights coming home due to winds at Littlehampton on coming home, also Superb cleanliness of the toilet blocks only downside was 2 persons only allowed in toilet block watched numerous other members ignoring the 2 only and some without masks as well ! But no fault of the wardens ! always recommend this site no road noise where we normaly pitch up but you can get some at the very bottom of the site and you can get workers on site now and again leaving early morning sometimes otherwise EXCELLENT and close to motorway network.

Disagree with other reviews

This is a lovely quiet site which is conveniently located. There was no road noise (fail to see how it here could be). I also don’t understand how people can complain about empty flower boxes when the (visible) wardens are obviously very busy! A lovely site and we will return.

Excellent stay, will be back...again

This is our 3rd stay at this site. Perfect for us for an over night stay when travelling to South West. We have also previously stayed for a long weekend when visiting friends in the area. Convenient for the motorway and in a lovely leafy setting, heard no noise from traffic. Well organised site, warm welcome from staff and felt safe during the current restrictions. We stayed on hard standing area without an awning which is a tarmac area. Suited us well and pitches divided with wooden planters which the staff were planting up during our stay. Dog walk was not particularly long but walks around outside the site too if you needed to go further. We visited the Peacock pub, just a chef and brewer chain pub but really nice food and lovely service each time we have visited. Lovely site, hard working staff in what must be difficult times

It's A No From Us - Sorry!

Booked a one night stopover to break the journey from North to South. The compromise for the easy access from the M42 and dual carriageway, is the constant hum of traffic noise in the distance. Add to that, some sort of gas gun going off every 45 minutes in nearby fields and it didn't feel particularly relaxing. There is nothing wrong with the site per sae - good sized pitches with a mix of serviced, awning and non awning. We didn't use the toilet block, preferring to use our own facilities. Small dog walk and limited walking from the site. However, it wasn't for us and I think it is unlikely we would use it again. Sorry.

Convenient site

Stayed at Chapel Lane this weekend to basically test out a new Moho, as it’s not far from home. Site was very much a typical CAMH club site with the usual facilities of EHU, toilets & showers, service points etc. The site is very conveniently placed within a couple of miles of M42 J3 for those wishing to break a long journey, and indeed many people were doing exactly this, so a lot of one/two night stayers. Close by is the Wythall Transport Museum which is well worth a visit, and Becketts Farm (10%off for club members) for fresh food. It also has a popular restaurant (needs booking). The wardens were cheery and friendly and could often be seen around the site. To improve the site for us we would have loved to see some kind of visiting “food service”on Saturday evening…… the site although spotlessly clean lacked a bit of character, & feel good factor.
