So close to Birminham but still in the countryside

This is an excellent site less than 30 minutes drive (not rush hour!) from the centre of Birmingham but still in green countryside. The facilities are exactly as you would expect from a Caravan Club site. I expect its packed when the NEC show is on!

Lots to visit from this site.

A clean and well run site, lots to see and do in the area. The one black mark would be the Wi-fi connection, it is at times unusable which can be annoying if you need to keep in touch with people.

Great overnight stop

Stopped here whilst travelling from Somerset to Yorkshire.  Site very convenient for access to motorway and staff very friendly.  Facilities very clean and plenty of them.  Small dog walk on site which was useful. Would stop here again especially convenient if visiting anything at the NEC.

Excellent Stop Over Site

Me, my wife & 9 year old son stayed here just as a stop over on our way from Newcastle to Longleat Safari, it is a beautiful site, very generous, hard standing pitches, the facilities where absolutely immaculate. There is a small, basic play area but by the time my son made a few friends it wasn't an issue being basic. The staff where very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this site as a stop over site on your travels, however I wouldn't personally stay here for a number of nights as a break.

Emergency

We were on our way to visit a relative in Essex and had the unfortunate experience of having a malfunction with the clutch slave cylinder at the junction with the M6 toll road and the M42. It resulted in me having to call out Green Flag who diagnosed my clutch problem. We had to make a decision and we decided to see if we could get the car fixed which would entail an overnight stop somewhere. We frequently use Chapel Lane site and decided to give the site a ring to see if they could assist. Green Flag took us to the site and I have to say the staff at Chapel Lane went out of their way in helping us out, they were able to offer us a pitch near to the main entrance and on our (late) arrival welcomed us with 'open arms'. The following morning the staff member on reception assisted us in providing the name of a local garage who would be able to assist with the repairs and put our minds at rest, as far as continuing our stay if the repairs couldn't be carried out immediately. Because of the location near to the motorway we had good access to many repairers and we were able to facilitate the repairs at a clutch specialist. We use the site at least once a year to visit the NEC Caravan Show and we've always found the facilities to be very good, the staff members to be helpful and the location is great. You will not be disappointed if you visit the site and as a bonus there is a local farm shop which offers many fine wares and a nice cafe. called Beckets.

Lovely Site, Very Central

This is an absolutely lovely site, very conveniently situated in the heart of the Midlands and close to the M42/M40 and M5/M6 motorway links.  The site is very quiet and spotlessly clean and the staff always helpful and polite.  Would not hesitate to stop here again.

Very Pleasant and Convenient Site

Had a stop over at this site on the way to Yorkshire and found it very good. It's easy to find off the M42 and has a farm shop, pub, and filling stations nearby. The site is well set up for stop overs with a large tarmac parking area for a quick overnight stay.  The facilities were of a good standard and the wardens friendly and helpful.  We are determined to have a longer stay soon to explore Birmingham and the surrounds and to visit Cadbury World again.

Fantastic site

Used the site for a two night stay on route to Devon from the North East. What an absolutely lovely site!!, spotlessly clean, easy to find, 5 mins off the M42 but no traffic noise whatsoever. Interesting walk to the nearest pub and all I can say is "beware of the cows!!", especially if you have dogs. Will definitely use it again, maybe next time for something more than a stop over.

Surprised

Well I must admit we were pleasantly surprised when we stayed here on the Bank holiday weekend at the end of May. The site was wonderful, it was nice and quiet very very clean and the showers and toilets were spotless! We needed a site near Birmingham and we were concerned about traffic noise etc, we need not have been because we never heard a thing! We will definitely stay again! The only downside is the local buses don't run on a Sunday so if you come and stay to watch your team play in Birmingham on a Sunday you will have a nice taxi fare to pay like we did, having said that the site do know a very good and reasonable cab firm to use
