Chapel Lane

Stayed in August 2015. Site was immaculately clean and tidy. All wardens were extremely friendly and helpful. There are many local pubs and restaurants in the local area to eat out or have a beer. A very nice local Chineese take away that are more than happy to deliver to the site. So much to do in the area - West Midlands Safari park, Black Country museum, motor museum right opposite site' Warwick Castle to name just a few.  TV signal and WIFI was spot on !!  Loads of room around pitch for BBQ and kids to play The site is so easy to get to, right off the M42, will defenetly be returning soon.

Just the ticket

Used Chapel Lane for four nights whilst my son was taking part in a sport event north of Birmingham city centre. Did just what it needed to. Kids play area a bit basic, not really for 6& over but he made a friend which meant not a problem. Will use again if in area or on route to North!

Never fails

This is a great site for overnight or longer stays. A large flat site with a wide variety of pitches and an easy run from the motorway. Difficult to believe it is so close to Birmingham with easy access to there or Stratford and Warwick. Well run as usual and great farm shop within easy walking distance.

Good weekend

We've just returned from 3 nights at Chapel Lane. Very helpful wardens - local, railway and bus information. Good site position - within 3 miles of M42, Local facilities good, access to Birmingham City Centre good (£2.95 return with Senior railcard AND free car parking). Facilities clean and plentiful. Will aim to return

Fantastic wardens

We love this site and have yet again had a brilliant 2 half weeks considering we only booked in for 2 nights originally . Just didn't want to leave.  The wardens are fantastic our puppies love them especially in the dark when they still fuss them even if they get a little excitable and the puppies .  We have no complaints whatsoever except we didn't win the main prize on the tombola after much trying .  We do how ever feel that perhaps the site could provide a car wash point . As it is unfair to have to use the Motorhome service point.  All in all we love this site and cannot wait to return next week     Jules and Ian and woof woofs

Excellent site

Stayed here while attending the Test Match at Edgbaston - easy ride into Birmingham & location ideal. The site was clean & the toilet/ shower/ CWD/ bins were all maintained well & among the best we've used recently. Good Motorhome service point too. Wardens & staff very friendly & helpful - nice ambience about the site. We found it quiet and suited for our purposes. The site location means it is an easy stopover for anyone heading to the South West & ideal for local exhibitions at the NEC. Good site & recommended

Shame about the dogs...

This was our second stay at Chapel Lane. As with most club sites it is very well kept. It is convenient to us for visiting family in the Wythall area. As a middle aged couple we did not appreciate the following: Dogs allowed to run free - dog poo on our outside door mat on day of departure - thanks! Kids running around the pitch behind our van from 8am - live & let live? Why you feel the need to have speed bumps every 50 feet through the site when most members are driving a motorhome or towing caravans beats me. Less damaging speed control measures should be adopted.

Typical club site

Usual club standard, Convenient stop-off for north-south journeys/cadbury world. Found wardens helpful/happy. Far end of site near road - some noise, rest of site is quiet. Have used before/ will use again. Child play area 'limited'.

Unwelcoming reception

Returning from Durham on 18th July where everyone we met was extremely friendly and welcoming, we arrived at Chapel Lane to a very abrupt reception from the wardens who seemed to be in a complete flap that the site was fairly full and did not generate confidence in their ability to cope under mild pressure. With the summer holidays now upon us we dread to think how the mood is there now. We won't be returning

Birmingham !!!

We stopped over on this site after travelling up from Devon ,my husband thought I was mad thinking we were booking somewhere in the middle of a roundabout or something but we were both pleasantly surprised it was lovely and quiet no road noise at all,the wardens were very nice and helpful, the information room was packed full of ideas. We decided to visit a garden center while staying there it was called Akemba Heritage we found it fascinating and only about 4 miles from the site. The facilities were spotless so yes we would definitely stay here again.
