Great Birmingham Stop over.
I used this site about 6 times a year as my father lives in Birmingham & I come down from Blackpool.
I have always had a good nights sleep. I have always felt safe and secure. The facilities are always very, very clean & lovely and warm in the winter.
This site is in such a great spot, for all parts of Birmingham as it is just of the M42, which you can not hear. Also has close links to M6, M5, M40 & M6 toll.
And as a bit of a 'Nerd' there a great transport museum next door to!! How much more does any one need. Just a great site.
My thanks to all the staff.
Good stop over site.
Nice big clean site, though when we arrived, and for the next few days, we were unable to sit outside by our caravan, because the grass was quite long, so we were having to sit almost on the road, not very good, never seen that before on any other caravan club site, maybe there was a reason, but we were not informed of that, also the only other thing that comes to mind, is that we only saw one doggy bin, and that was by the office, as you come onto the site, so it definitely needs a few more bins, so that responsible dog owners can dispose of the matter in the correct way, but all in all a good stay.
Overnighter on the way home
Stopped here for one night on the way home last week. Because we were only there for one night we were on tarmac which did not sound terribly appealing but was fine actually as there were grassy bits all around the tarmac and we had a lovely bbq for tea on the grass behind our van.
Location really good for the motorways. Facilities OK if of a fair age, but very clean. Would use again with no concerns at all!
Convenient Site
Convenient site not far off M42. Not much in immediate area though but good for visits to Birmingham or as a stopover. As with a lot of sites nowadays there are a number of workers using it as a base. Wardens okay but only choose to enforce rules that suit them.
Very Nice
We spent 10 nights here during the last couple of weeks of March 2015. The site is easy to find and has a nice blend of pitch types. The site is close to the motorway but located in a quiet village and we had a relaxing stay.
We visited the Black Country Museum which was a great day out and also took the train down to London for the day which was surprisingly easy with the car park at the NEC rail station and the two for one ticket on Virgin trains which set us back "a massive" (lol) £66 for the both of us to travel 1st Class with inclusive food and drink both ways. Great site
A little gem
Stayed for two nights late April 2015. Great location for anything in Brum as well as as lovely villages etc. dog walk not very inviting in the rain. Site well looked after and wardens friendly but not knowledgable about surrounding attraction but information cabin well stocked. Road noise noticeable but more annoying was family adjacent in motorhome and drive away awning who thought it acceptable to be shouting and singing well past midnight. But a good stay and will return
excellent stay
This is the second time we have visited this site. It's location is excellent, 3 minutes drive from the M42..... but quiet.
The wardens are very friendly and welcoming, and the site and facilities are kept very clean.
We have only visited the site 'out of season' and can imagine it being very busy when the weather is warmer, which we will avoid... Very enjoyable stay... thank you

Am I wrong
Am I wrong to think that when I pay for a pitch it is for my families use only?
We enjoyed our stay at Chapel Lane and the directions there were brilliant. But the family next to us and all their relatives in at least 2 other vans, thought it was ok to use our pitch. Granddad wandered around the back of the van ( about 3 foot between us and the hedge ) and all the gran-kids used it to run to the loo`s. So we put the windbreak up to stop this. The following morning I am having breakfast in my dressing gown, when the family at different stages decide that they will now cut across right next to the van. So we put 2 chairs on their sides to cause a barrier. They still didn't take the hint and walked around the chairs. So we put another 2 chairs out and blocked the whole area off. Great it worked. That is till we thought after 2 days they may have got the idea, we put the chairs away, So dad goes straight over the pitch. Unbelievable .
Anyway we would use the site again but just make sure we are not on that pitch.
