Pleasantly surprised

Over the years I have stayed on many club sites and this one certainly didn't disappoint. With easy access to the motorway networks, the NEC and bus route to Birmingham just a 10 min walk to the roundabout. One feature that does stand out on this site is the room between pitches and ease of reversing onto pitch.Very helpfully site managers and very peaceful with just a minor drone of distant traffic.Car enthusiasts visit the Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon (about 35 mins on M40) for history of BMC/British Leyland car marque.I have marked it down for good for families to 3 stars as didn't notice any play area for children.

Easy access.

Very easy access from the motorways, site was clean and tidy with well serviced facilities. Shower block was well heated even through the night. My only downside would be the road noise, not horrendous and some folks probably live with worse but as we are country folk we did notice it mainly at bed time, we will return though. Comments about wifi,,,surely in this day and age every body travels with wifi, dongles and hot spots etc etc, why are people moaning they can't get it free in the countryside??? Also if you are a serious traveller the club deal at £25 for 12 months is not to be missed.

Perfect but charge for Wifi?

Absolutely nothing negative about this site or the perfect way it is run by the super friendly and efficient wardens! But why does this club insist on charging for Wifi? I have to go to the nearest MacDonalds, Little Chef, Wetherspoons or pick from a host of different places that offer free Wifi in order to book another Caravan Club site online. I think it is about time that you embraced new thinking! You may be loosing out??

Excellent Yet Again

Yet another successful return to this fab Club Site... Great location just minutes from M42 .. Bus into Birmingham just outside the gates 10.31am... But if that's too early a 10 min walk to Wythall Island and you can pick the 150 or X50 into the centre of the city.  Great wardens and as always clean facilities and well maintained Service Points.. We take advantage of this site in the winter months very good... Next visit probably OCT ..

You're going to Birmingham?

The puzzled responses from friends on hearing that we were going to Birmingham showed what they don't know. Easily accessible from the M42 and great rural location. Well laid out and kept site. Walked in the nearby Lickie Hills (short drive away). Need to go back and explore more of the countryside and even go into Birmingham. Our short break was very refreshing but far too short to do justice to the location - will hopefully be back.

Friendly wardens

Stayed here for two nights 23rd and 24th Jan. Easy to find well situated close to motorway system especially M42 but was very quiet. There was a very friendly and helpful arrival from the wardens. It was a quiet time of the year so I cannot judge how it would be in the height of the season and have no idea if it is good for families being a lone traveller (therefore the 1* rating) but in Winter it was very peaceful although I was by no means the only outfit there. The shower block was spotless, warm and there was plenty of hot water for my shower. I was staying because of a family get together to celebrate a 100th birthday but looking on my Sat Nav there were plenty of interesting places nearby so could well be worth a longer stay to explore the area more. I would not hesitate to re-book. Although initially I thought the site a bit pricey I have changed my mind it was very well kept and all in all worth every penny.

super Wardens

This site is splendidly positioned with so much to see and do locally. Birmingham with its library, performance halls and its museums is impressive and nearby National Trust properties make for very good days out. may I draw attention to the wardens Mr and MrsHhunter and Wetton who were welcoming, affable and extremely helpful

A pleasure to be there

This site is beautifully located with so much to see and do and bus travel available from the site. We consider ourselves to have been fortunate to have been looked after by splendid wardens. The hunters and the Wettons could not have been more affable and helpful.
