I stayed her for one night on my way to Cropredy for the festival. I have a friend living nearby and she recommended it. I was concerned about the negative reviews on this page but I needn't have worried. The warden was very helpful, offering to move me to an awning pitch as some people didn't like just the tarmac of the non-awning pitches. She helped me to choose a suitable pitch near the dog walk for my two pooches, suggesting I might not want to be the busy road at the far end of the row. The pitch was spacious and tidy and easy to access. The dog walk was just behind, a short run behind a fence, accessed by a slightly noisy gate. Didn't bother me but the dogs took offence at all other dogs walking on their bit of woods!
The toilets were extremely clean and the showers good. Everything was a bit dated in layout but had obviously been upgraded a bit recently. Certainly no complaints there. I met my friend in wonderful Beckett Farm Shop that evening and again the next morning. Wish I'd had time to stay a bit longer and explore this lovely area heavily overshadowed by its big city brother. Will definitely be back next year. Thanks.
Terrible site, not the usual Club Standard.
Stayed here last night on the way home.
Arrived at 5pm after a very long journey on car park roads from one of the best sites on the network at Paignton.
Not the usual breezy welcome and when I noted I had booked an awning pitch by accident, response was "well you don't need to put an awning up to be on an awning pitch".
Very disappointing site, as another reviewer has noted, the road surfaces are not good, however the overwhelming impression is of a council car park, or caravan storage yard. Not helped by the large number of stored caravans.
Grassy edges and verges were unkempt, toilets were cold and hand drier not working and no hot water available.
We took the kids down to get the usual Club Kids activity sheet, to be told that children don't come to this site. despite being faced with 2 children and a fair few wandering about the site.
Strange to be offering "Kids for £1" and then having nothing for them!
The play park is awful. "a pleasant open-field horizon"? I didn't see it, there is no outlook other than trees and bushes and the noise of the nearby road.
That being said, it is very close to motorway and if you don't mind pitching up in a council car park next to public conveniences then this is the site for you.
We won't be returning.
Great stay again
We always use this site for the BBC gardeners world live at the NEC and have been coming for years. It's always the same clean and tidy, quiet and well maintained with good cheery helpful wardens, a special thank you this trip to Kevin who over and above his "duties" helped me with a sat nav problem. We will be back next year.
The site is a mess
Having been in the C.& C. club for over 20 years and having visited over 60 of your sites, this site falls far short of what I normally expect.
This not reflection on the wardens who work as hard as any other site.
The road surfaces within the site need attention as do the pitches themselves. Many gravel pitches are festooned in weeds.
There are far too many bushes and trees and in consequence when the wind blow there are twigs and debris all around.

Wonderful Wardens ! Great location
We were only there 2 nights to see our family en-route from Portsmouth to our home... The wardens were superb in helping with our eventual very late arrival... Then getting us onsite the next day.
The wardens work hard to keep an excellent standard of site for members to enjoy. Yes, the facilities are lets say 'well-used'.... But they were wonderfully clean.
There were no weather related problems that we observed.
We look forward to returning and enjoying a longer stay when next visiting with the van in-tow.
Thank you again from both of us. :-) :-)
Oh - and well said joneil103 .... credit where it is due!
What's the problem? It's a good site!
Really can't understand the previous poor reviews. This site is a typically well run club site. There are the usual hard standing bays with ample grassy areas and trees between. In addition to these there is a large tarmac hard standing area which seems a sensible use of space for busy times with many motor home overnight short stays. It is not admittedly, the most floral of sites but I suspect that the staff at this site are kept busy with so many arrivals etc for short stays. There is a little wild flower patch between the trees which is thoughtful and pretty. It is a very convenient stop when travelling north to south. Untidy site? Certainly not! The wardens keep it well, facilities are clean if a little tired perhaps. Club site wardens do their best to keep their sites well and make our holidays enjoyable, unnecessary criticism is demoralising. Give credit where it is due. We will certainly come again.,

FLOODING --PITCHES 69 AND 70 .
flooding- do not use pitches 69 and 70 if rain imminent & you have an awning as these pitches flood & do not drain sufficiently fast enough .you have been warned. we are still drying out.................

Poor worst club site we've been
Stayed here for one night it's more like a carpark than a club site definitely wouldn't return. very poor and untidy
Handy location
Couldn't really fault the welcoming and departure from the on-site staff. It was a quiet Sunday evening when I arrived, surprised by the expanse of concrete that greeted me. I don't think I was prepared for hardstanding in terms of it looks - nothing like the pictures or how I had visually imagined the site to be with this being my 5th site visited. Facilities were clean, now on other site reviews I would have expected lots of moaning for this site as the facilities are outdated, but can't fault the hot water, clean showers etc
Would I stay again, yes but only for visits to Brum, it wouldn't be my first choice of sites for an extended stay, too much concrete.
Easy access to M45/M5/M6.
First but not the last time.
Typical CC site, clean, welcoming etc etc within easy reach of the motorway system, Birmingham and several National Trust properties.
